26 G2532 And G3756 you did not G2309 want G305 to ascend, G235 but G544 you resisted persuasion G3588 against the G4487 word G2962 of the lord G3588 G2316 your God. G1473

27 G2532 And G1234 you complained G1722 in G3588 G4633 your tents, G1473 G2532 and G2036 said, G1223 Because G3588 the G3404 lord detested G2962 G1473 us G1806 he led us G1473 G1537 out of G1093 the land G* of Egypt, G3860 to deliver G1473 us G1519 into G5495 the hands G* of the Amorites, G2532 and G1842 to utterly destroy G1473 us.

29 G2532 And G2036 I said G4314 to G1473 you, G3361 Do not G4421.1 be alarmed, G3366 nor G5399 fear G575 from G1473 them!

30 G2962 The lord G3588 G2316 your God, G1473 G3588 the one G4313 going forth G4253 before G4383 your face, G1473 G1473 he G4899.1 will join in making war against G1473 them G3326 with G1473 you, G2596 according to G3956 all G3745 as much as G4160 he did G1473 for you G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Egypt,

44 G2532 And G1831 [⁶came forth G3588 ¹the G* ²Amorite G3588 G2730 ³dwelling G1722 ⁴in G3588 G3735 ⁵that mountain] G1565 G1519 to G4877 meet G1473 you. G2532 And G2614 they pursued G1473 you G5616 as G4160 do G3588 the G3192.2 bees, G2532 and G5103.1 pierced G1473 you G575 from G* Seir G2193 until G* Hormah.

45 G2532 And G2523 sitting G2799 you wept G1726 before G2962 the lord G3588 G2316 your God, G1473 G2532 and G3756 [²did not G1522 ³listen to G2962 ¹ the lord] G3588 G5456 your voice, G1473 G3761 nor G4337 took heed G1473 to you.

46 G2532 And G1455.1 you laid in wait G1722 in G* Kadesh G2250 [²days G4183 ¹many], G3745 as many [²as G4218 ³at some other time G2250 ¹days] G1455.1 you laid in wait.

6 H3068 יהוה The LORD H430 אלהינו our God H1696 דבר spoke H413 אלינו unto H2722 בחרב us in Horeb, H559 לאמר saying, H7227 רב long enough H3427 לכם שׁבת Ye have dwelt H2022 בהר mount: H2088 הזה׃ in this

7 H6437 פנו Turn H5265 וסעו you, and take your journey, H935 לכם ובאו and go H2022 הר to the mount H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H413 ואל and unto H3605 כל all H7934 שׁכניו nigh H6160 בערבה thereunto, in the plain, H2022 בהר in the hills, H8219 ובשׁפלה and in the vale, H5045 ובנגב and in the south, H2348 ובחוף side, H3220 הים and by the sea H776 ארץ to the land H3669 הכנעני of the Canaanites, H3844 והלבנון and unto Lebanon, H5704 עד unto H5104 הנהר river, H1419 הגדל the great H5104 נהר the river H6578 פרת׃ Euphrates.

8 H7200 ראה Behold, H5414 נתתי I have set H6440 לפניכם before H853 את H776 הארץ the land H935 באו you: go in H3423 ורשׁו and possess H853 את H776 הארץ the land H834 אשׁר which H7650 נשׁבע swore H3068 יהוה the LORD H1 לאבתיכם unto your fathers, H85 לאברהם Abraham, H3327 ליצחק Isaac, H3290 וליעקב and Jacob, H5414 לתת to give H2233 להם ולזרעם unto them and to their seed H310 אחריהם׃ after

9 H559 ואמר And I spoke H413 אלכם unto H6256 בעת time, H1931 ההוא you at that H559 לאמר saying, H3808 לא H3201 אוכל H905 לבדי you myself alone: H5375 שׂאת to bear H853 אתכם׃

10 H3068 יהוה The LORD H430 אלהיכם your God H7235 הרבה hath multiplied H853 אתכם H2009 והנכם you, and, behold, H3117 היום ye this day H3556 ככוכבי as the stars H8064 השׁמים of heaven H7230 לרב׃ for multitude.

11 H3068 יהוה (The LORD H430 אלהי God H1 אבותכם of your fathers H3254 יסף so many more H5921 עליכם H505 ככם אלף make you a thousand H6471 פעמים times H1288 ויברך as ye and bless H853 אתכם H834 כאשׁר you, as H1696 דבר׃ he hath promised

12 H349 איכה How H5375 אשׂא bear H905 לבדי can I myself alone H2960 טרחכם your encumbrance, H4853 ומשׂאכם and your burden, H7379 וריבכם׃ and your strife?

13 H3051 הבו Take H582 לכם אנשׁים H2450 חכמים you wise H995 ונבנים and understanding, H3045 וידעים and known H7626 לשׁבטיכם among your tribes, H7760 ואשׂימם and I will make H7218 בראשׁיכם׃ them rulers

14 H6030 ותענו And ye answered H853 אתי H559 ותאמרו me, and said, H2896 טוב good H1697 הדבר The thing H834 אשׁר which H1696 דברת thou hast spoken H6213 לעשׂות׃ to do.

15 H3947 ואקח So I took H853 את H7218 ראשׁי the chief H7626 שׁבטיכם of your tribes, H376 אנשׁים men, H2450 חכמים wise H3045 וידעים and known, H5414 ואתן and made H853 אותם H7218 ראשׁים them heads H5921 עליכם over H8269 שׂרי you, captains H505 אלפים over thousands, H8269 ושׂרי and captains H3967 מאות over hundreds, H8269 ושׂרי and captains H2572 חמשׁים over fifties, H8269 ושׂרי and captains H6235 עשׂרת over tens, H7860 ושׁטרים and officers H7626 לשׁבטיכם׃ among your tribes.

16 H6680 ואצוה And I charged H853 את H8199 שׁפטיכם your judges H6256 בעת time, H1931 ההוא at that H559 לאמר saying, H8085 שׁמע Hear H996 בין between H251 אחיכם your brethren, H8199 ושׁפטתם and judge H6664 צדק righteously H996 בין between H376 אישׁ man H996 ובין H251 אחיו and his brother, H996 ובין H1616 גרו׃ and the stranger

17 H3808 לא Ye shall not H5234 תכירו respect H6440 פנים persons H4941 במשׁפט in judgment; H6996 כקטן the small H1419 כגדל as well as the great; H8085 תשׁמעון ye shall hear H3808 לא ye shall not H1481 תגורו be afraid H6440 מפני of the face H376 אישׁ of man; H3588 כי for H4941 המשׁפט the judgment H430 לאלהים God's: H1931 הוא H1697 והדבר and the cause H834 אשׁר that H7185 יקשׁה is too hard H4480 מכם of the face H7126 תקרבון you, bring H413 אלי unto H8085 ושׁמעתיו׃ me, and I will hear

19 H5265 ונסע And when we departed H2722 מחרב H1980 ונלך we went through H853 את H3605 כל all H4057 המדבר wilderness, H1419 הגדול great H3372 והנורא and terrible H1931 ההוא that H834 אשׁר which H7200 ראיתם ye saw H1870 דרך by the way H2022 הר of the mountain H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H834 כאשׁר as H6680 צוה commanded H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H853 אתנו H935 ונבא us; and we came H5704 עד to H6947 קדשׁ ברנע׃ Kadesh-barnea.

20 H559 ואמר And I said H413 אלכם unto H935 באתם you, Ye are come H5704 עד unto H2022 הר the mountain H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H834 אשׁר which H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H5414 נתן׃ doth give

21 H7200 ראה Behold, H5414 נתן hath set H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H6440 לפניך before H853 את H776 הארץ the land H5927 עלה thee: go up H3423 רשׁ possess H834 כאשׁר as H1696 דבר hath said H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H1 אבתיך of thy fathers H408 לך אל not, H3372 תירא unto thee; fear H408 ואל neither H2865 תחת׃ be discouraged.

YLT ⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ These are the words which Moses hath spoken unto all Israel, beyond the Jordan, in the wilderness, in the plain over-against Suph, between Paran and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Di-Zahab; ² eleven days' from Horeb, the way of mount Seir, unto Kadesh-Barnea. ³ And it cometh to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first of the month hath Moses spoken unto the sons of Israel according to all that Jehovah hath commanded him concerning them; ⁴ after his smiting Sihon king of the Amorite who is dwelling in Heshbon, and Og king of Bashan who is dwelling in Ashtaroth in Edrei, ⁵ beyond the Jordan, in the land of Moab, hath Moses begun to explain this law, saying: ⁶ `Jehovah our God hath spoken unto us in Horeb, saying, Enough to you--of dwelling in this mount; ⁷ turn ye and journey for you, and enter the mount of the Amorite, and unto all its neighbouring places, in the plain, in the hill-country, and in the low country, and in the south, and in the haven of the sea, the land of the Canaanite, and of Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Phrat; ⁸ see, I have set before you the land; go in and possess the land which Jehovah hath sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them, and to their seed after them.
⁹ `And I speak unto you at that time, saying, I am not able by myself to bear you; ¹⁰ Jehovah your God hath multiplied you, and lo, ye are to-day as the stars of the heavens for multitude; ¹¹ Jehovah, God of your fathers, is adding to you, as ye are, a thousand times, and doth bless you as He hath spoken to you. ¹² `How do I bear by myself your pressure, and your burden, and your strife? ¹³ Give for yourselves men, wise and intelligent, and known to your tribes, and I set them for your heads; ¹⁴ and ye answer me and say, Good is the thing which thou hast spoken--to do. ¹⁵ `And I take the heads of your tribes, men, wise and known, and I appoint them heads over you, princes of thousands, and princes of hundreds, and princes of fifties, and princes of tens, and authorities, for your tribes. ¹⁶ And I command your judges at that time, saying, Hearkening between your brethren--then ye have judged righteousness between a man, and his brother, and his sojourner; ¹⁷ ye do not discern faces in judgment; as the little so the great ye do hear; ye are not afraid of the face of any, for the judgment is God's, and the thing which is too hard for you, ye bring near unto me, and I have heard it; ¹⁸ and I command you, at that time, all the things which ye do.
