  35 G4133 Except G3588 the G2934 cattle G4307.1 we despoiled G1438 for ourselves. G2532 And G3588 the G4661 spoils G3588 from the G4172 cities G2983 we took,

  4 H853 ואת   H5971 העם thou the people, H6680 צו And command H559 לאמר saying, H859 אתם Ye H5674 עברים to pass through H1366 בגבול the coast H251 אחיכם of your brethren H1121 בני the children H6215 עשׂו of Esau, H3427 הישׁבים which dwell H8165 בשׂעיר in Seir; H3372 וייראו and they shall be afraid H4480 מכם of H8104 ונשׁמרתם you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore: H3966 מאד׃ you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:
  5 H408 אל not H1624 תתגרו Meddle H3588 בם כי with them; for H3808 לא I will not H5414 אתן give H776 לכם מארצם you of their land, H5704 עד no, not so much H4096 מדרך as a foot breadth; H3709 כף   H7272 רגל   H3588 כי because H3425 ירשׁה a possession.   6 H400 אכל meat H7666 תשׁברו Ye shall buy H853 מאתם   H3701 בכסף them for money, H398 ואכלתם that ye may eat; H1571 וגם and ye shall also H4325 מים water H3739 תכרו buy H853 מאתם   H3701 בכסף them for money, H8354 ושׁתיתם׃ that ye may drink.
  7 H3588 כי For H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H1288 ברכך hath blessed H3605 בכל thee in all H4639 מעשׂה the works H3027 ידך of thy hand: H3045 ידע he knoweth H1980 לכתך thy walking through H853 את   H4057 המדבר wilderness: H1419 הגדל great H2088 הזה this H2088 זה these H705 ארבעים forty H8141 שׁנה years H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H5973 עמך with H3808 לא nothing. H2637 חסרת thee; thou hast lacked H1697 דבר׃ nothing.
  8 H5674 ונעבר And when we passed by H854 מאת from H251 אחינו our brethren H1121 בני the children H6215 עשׂו of Esau, H3427 הישׁבים which dwelt H8165 בשׂעיר in Seir, H1870 מדרך through the way H6160 הערבה of the plain H359 מאילת   H6100 ומעצין גבר   H6437 ונפן we turned H5674 ונעבר and passed H1870 דרך by the way H4057 מדבר of the wilderness H4124 מואב׃ of Moab.
  9 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אלי unto H408 אל not H6696 תצר me, Distress H853 את   H4124 מואב the Moabites, H408 ואל neither H1624 תתגר contend H4421 בם מלחמה with them in battle: H3588 כי for H3808 לא I will not H5414 אתן give H776 לך מארצו thee of their land H3425 ירשׁה a possession; H3588 כי because H1121 לבני unto the children H3876 לוט of Lot H5414 נתתי I have given H853 את   H6144 ער Ar H3425 ירשׁה׃ a possession.
  10 H368 האמים The Emims H6440 לפנים therein in times past, H3427 ישׁבו dwelt H5971 בה עם a people H1419 גדול great, H7227 ורב and many, H7311 ורם and tall, H6062 כענקים׃ as the Anakims;
  11 H7497 רפאים giants, H2803 יחשׁבו were accounted H637 אף also H1992 הם Which H6062 כענקים as the Anakims; H4125 והמאבים but the Moabites H7121 יקראו call H368 להם אמים׃ them Emims.
  12 H8165 ובשׂעיר in Seir H3427 ישׁבו also dwelt H2752 החרים The Horims H6440 לפנים formerly; H1121 ובני but the children H6215 עשׂו of Esau H3423 יירשׁום succeeded H8045 וישׁמידום them, when they had destroyed H6440 מפניהם them from before H3427 וישׁבו them, and dwelt H8478 תחתם in their stead; H834 כאשׁר as H6213 עשׂה did H3478 ישׂראל Israel H776 לארץ unto the land H3425 ירשׁתו of his possession, H834 אשׁר which H5414 נתן gave H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD
  13 H6258 עתה Now H6965 קמו rise up, H5674 ועברו and get you over H853 לכם את   H5158 נחל the brook H2218 זרד Zered. H5674 ונעבר And we went over H853 את   H5158 נחל the brook H2218 זרד׃ Zered.
  14 H3117 והימים And the space H834 אשׁר in which H1980 הלכנו we came H6947 מקדשׁ ברנע   H5704 עד until H834 אשׁר until H5674 עברנו we were come over H853 את   H5158 נחל the brook H2218 זרד Zered, H7970 שׁלשׁים thirty H8083 ושׁמנה and eight H8141 שׁנה years; H5704 עד until H8552 תם were wasted H3605 כל all H1755 הדור the generation H376 אנשׁי of the men H4421 המלחמה of war H7130 מקרב out from among H4264 המחנה the host, H834 כאשׁר as H7650 נשׁבע swore H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD
  15 H1571 וגם For indeed H3027 יד the hand H3068 יהוה of the LORD H1961 היתה was H2000 בם להמם against them, to destroy H7130 מקרב them from among H4264 המחנה the host, H5704 עד until H8552 תמם׃ they were consumed.
  16 H1961 ויהי So it came to pass, H834 כאשׁר when H8552 תמו were consumed H3605 כל all H582 אנשׁי   H4421 המלחמה of war H4191 למות and dead H7130 מקרב from among H5971 העם׃ the people,
  17 H1696 וידבר spoke H3068 יהוה That the LORD H413 אלי unto H559 לאמר׃ me, saying,
  18 H859 אתה Thou H5674 עבר art to pass over H3117 היום this day: H853 את   H1366 גבול the coast H4124 מואב of Moab, H853 את   H6144 ער׃ through Ar
  19 H7126 וקרבת And thou comest nigh H4136 מול over against H1121 בני the children H5983 עמון of Ammon, H408 אל them not, H6696 תצרם distress H408 ואל nor H1624 תתגר meddle H3588 בם כי with them: for H3808 לא I will not H5414 אתן give H776 מארץ thee of the land H1121 בני of the children H5983 עמון of Ammon H3425 לך ירשׁה possession; H3588 כי because H1121 לבני it unto the children H3876 לוט of Lot H5414 נתתיה I have given H3425 ירשׁה׃ a possession.
  20 H776 ארץ a land H7497 רפאים of giants: H2803 תחשׁב was accounted H637 אף also H1931 הוא ( That H7497 רפאים giants H3427 ישׁבו dwelt H6440 בה לפנים therein in old time; H5984 והעמנים and the Ammonites H7121 יקראו call H1992 להם  
  21 H5971 עם A people H1419 גדול great, H7227 ורב and many, H7311 ורם and tall, H6062 כענקים as the Anakims; H8045 וישׁמידם destroyed H3068 יהוה but the LORD H6440 מפניהם them before H3423 ויירשׁם them; and they succeeded H3427 וישׁבו them, and dwelt H8478 תחתם׃ in their stead:
  22 H834 כאשׁר As H6213 עשׂה he did H1121 לבני to the children H6215 עשׂו of Esau, H3427 הישׁבים which dwelt H8165 בשׂעיר in Seir, H834 אשׁר when H8045 השׁמיד he destroyed H853 את   H2752 החרי the Horims H6440 מפניהם from before H3423 ויירשׁם them; and they succeeded H3427 וישׁבו them, and dwelt H8478 תחתם in their stead H5704 עד even unto H3117 היום day: H2088 הזה׃ this
  23 H5757 והעוים And the Avims H3427 הישׁבים which dwelt H2699 בחצרים in Hazerim, H5704 עד unto H5804 עזה Azzah, H3732 כפתרים the Caphtorims, H3318 היצאים which came forth H3731 מכפתר   H8045 השׁמידם destroyed H3427 וישׁבו them, and dwelt H8478 תחתם׃ in their stead.)
  24 H6965 קומו Rise ye up, H5265 סעו take your journey, H5674 ועברו and pass over H853 את   H5158 נחל the river H769 ארנן Arnon: H7200 ראה behold, H5414 נתתי I have given H3027 בידך into thine hand H853 את   H5511 סיחן Sihon H4428 מלך king H2809 חשׁבון of Heshbon, H567 האמרי the Amorite, H853 ואת   H776 ארצו and his land: H2490 החל begin H3423 רשׁ to possess H1624 והתגר and contend H4421 בו מלחמה׃ with him in battle.
  25 H3117 היום day H2088 הזה This H2490 אחל will I begin H5414 תת to put H6343 פחדך the dread H3374 ויראתך of thee and the fear H5921 על of thee upon H6440 פני because H5971 העמים the nations H8478 תחת under H3605 כל the whole H8064 השׁמים heaven, H834 אשׁר who H8085 ישׁמעון shall hear H8088 שׁמעך report H7264 ורגזו of thee, and shall tremble, H2342 וחלו and be in anguish H6440 מפניך׃  
  26 H7971 ואשׁלח And I sent H4397 מלאכים messengers H4057 ממדבר out of the wilderness H6932 קדמות of Kedemoth H413 אל unto H5511 סיחון Sihon H4428 מלך king H2809 חשׁבון of Heshbon H1697 דברי with words H7965 שׁלום of peace, H559 לאמר׃ saying,
  27 H5674 אעברה Let me pass H776 בארצך through thy land: H1870 בדרך along by the highway, H1870 בדרך along by the highway, H1980 אלך I will go H3808 לא I will neither H5493 אסור turn H3225 ימין unto the right hand H8040 ושׂמאול׃ nor to the left.
  28 H400 אכל me meat H3701 בכסף for money, H7666 תשׁברני Thou shalt sell H398 ואכלתי that I may eat; H4325 ומים me water H3701 בכסף for money, H5414 תתן and give H8354 לי ושׁתיתי that I may drink: H7535 רק only H5674 אעברה I will pass through H7272 ברגלי׃ on my feet;
  29 H834 כאשׁר (As H6213 עשׂו did H1121 לי בני the children H6215 עשׂו of Esau H3427 הישׁבים which dwell H8165 בשׂעיר in Seir, H4125 והמואבים and the Moabites H3427 הישׁבים which dwell H6144 בער in Ar, H5704 עד   H834 אשׁר which H5674 אעבר I shall pass over H853 את   H3383 הירדן Jordan H413 אל into H776 הארץ the land H834 אשׁר   H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H5414 נתן׃ giveth
  30 H3808 ולא not H14 אבה would H5511 סיחן But Sihon H4428 מלך king H2809 חשׁבון of Heshbon H5674 העברנו let us pass H3588 בו כי by him: for H7185 הקשׁה hardened H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H853 את   H7307 רוחו his spirit, H553 ואמץ   H853 את   H3824 לבבו   H4616 למען that H5414 תתו he might deliver H3027 בידך him into thy hand, H3117 כיום day. Geneva(i) 1 Then we turned, and tooke our iourney into the wildernes, by the way of the red Sea, as the Lord spake vnto me: and we compassed mount Seir a long time. 2 And the Lord spake vnto me, saying, 3 Ye haue compassed this mountaine long ynough: turne you Northward. 4 And warne thou the people, saying, Ye shall go through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir, and they shall be afraide of you: take ye good heede therefore. 5 Ye shall not prouoke them: for I wil not giue you of their land so much as a foot breadth, because I haue giuen mount Seir vnto Esau for a possession. 6 Ye shall buy meate of them for money to eate, and ye shall also procure water of them for money to drinke. 7 For the Lord thy God hath blessed thee in all the workes of thine hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wildernes, and the Lord thy God hath bene with thee this fourtie yeere, and thou hast lacked nothing. 8 And when we were departed from our brethren the children of Esau which dwelt in Seir, through the way of the plaine, from Elath, and from Ezion-gaber, we turned and went by the way of the wildernes of Moab. 9 Then the Lord sayd vnto me, Thou shalt not vexe Moab, neither prouoke them to battel: for I wil not giue thee of their land for a possession, because I haue giuen Ar vnto the children of Lot for a possession. 10 The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great and many, and tall, as the Anakims. 11 They also were taken for gyants as the Anakims: whom the Moabites call Emims. 12 The Horims also dwelt in Seir before time, whome the children of Esau chased out and destroyed them before them, and dwelt in their steade: as Israel shall doe vnto the land of his possession, which the Lord hath giuen them. 13 Now rise vp, sayd I, and the generation of the men of warre were wasted out from among the hoste, as the Lord sware vnto them. 15 For in deede the hand of the Lord was against them, to destroy them from among the hoste, till And we went over the brook Zered. 14 And the days in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, were thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were consumed from the midst of the camp, as Jehovah sware unto them. 15 Moreover the hand of Jehovah was against them, to destroy them from the midst of the camp, until they were consumed. 16 So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people, 17 that Jehovah spake unto me, saying, 18 Thou art this day to pass over Ar, the border of Moab: 19 and when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, vex them not, nor contend with them; for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon for a possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession. 20 (That also is accounted a land of Rephaim: Rephaim dwelt therein aforetime; but the Ammonites call them Zamzummim, 21 a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakim; but Jehovah destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead; 22 as he did for the children of Esau, that dwell in Seir, when he destroyed the Horites from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day: 23 and the Avvim, that dwelt in villages as far as Gaza, the Caphtorim, that came forth out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and dwelt in their stead.) 24 Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the valley of the Arnon: behold, I have given into thy hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land; begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle. 25 This day will I begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the peoples that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear the report of thee, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of thee. 26 And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth unto Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying, 27 Let me pass through thy land: I will go along by the highway, I will turn neither unto the right hand nor to the left. 28 Thou shalt sell me food for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only let me pass through on my feet, 29 as the children of Esau that dwell in Seir, and the Moabites that dwell in Ar, did unto me; until I shall pass over the Jordan into the land which Jehovah our God giveth us. 30 But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him; for Jehovah thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as at this day. 31 And Jehovah said unto me, Behold, I have begun to deliver up Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his land. 32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, unto battle at Jahaz. 33 And Jehovah our God delivered him up before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people. 34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones; we left none remaining: 35 only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, with the spoil of the cities which we had taken. 36 From Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and from the city that is in the valley, even unto Gilead, there was not a city too high for us; Jehovah our God delivered up all before us: 37 only to the land of the children of Ammon thou camest not near; all the side of the river Jabbok, and the cities of the hill-country, and wheresoever Jehovah our God forbade us.
