Jeremiah 29 And these are the words of the book which Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the elders of the resettlement, and to the priests, and to the false prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar resettled from Jerusalem unto Babylon,

2 G5305 (after G1831 the coming forth G* of Jeconiah G3588 the G935 king, G2532 and G3588 the G938 queen, G2532 and G3588 the G2135 eunuchs, G2532 and G3956 every G1658 free man, G2532 and G1202 bondman, G2532 and G5079 craftsman G1537 from out of G* Jerusalem;)

3 G1722 by G5495 the hand G* of Elasah G5207 son G* of Shaphan, G2532 and G* Gemariah G5207 son G* of Hilkiah, G3739 whom G649 [⁴sent G* ¹Zedekiah G935 ²king G* ³of Judah] G4314 to G935 the king G* of Babylon G1519 into G* Babylon, G3004 saying,

4 G3779 Thus G2036 said G2962 the lord G3588 of the G1411 forces, G3588 the G2316 God G* of Israel, G1909 unto G3588 the G599.2 resettlement G3739 which G599.3 he resettled G575 from G* Jerusalem G1519 to G* Babylon;

5 G3618 Build G3614 houses, G2532 and G2730 dwell, G2532 and G5452 plant G3857 gardens, G2532 and G2068 eat G3588 G2590 of their fruits! G1473

6 G2532 And G2983 take G1135 wives, G2532 and G5043.1 produce children, G5207 sons G2532 and G2364 daughters! G2532 And G2983 take G3588 for G5207 your sons G1473 G1135 wives, G2532 and G3588 for G2364 your daughters G1473 G1325 give G435 husbands! G2532 and G5088 they shall bear G5207 sons G2532 and G2364 daughters, G2532 and G4129 they shall be multiplied, G2532 and G3361 shall not be diminished. G4665.2

7 G2532 And G2212 seek G1519 for G1515 peace G3588 of the G1093 land G1519 into G3739 which G599.3 I resettled G1473 you G1563 there! G2532 And G4336 pray G4012 for G1473 them G4314 to G2962 the lord! G3754 for G1722 in G3588 G1515 their peace G1473 G1510.8.3 there will be G1515 peace G1473 to you.

G2532 And G3361 let not G374 dissuade G1473 you G3588 G3132.1 your clairvoyants! G1473 G2532 And G3361 hearken not G191 G1519 to G3588 G1798 your dreams G1473 G3739 which G1473 you G1797 dream!

9 G3754 For G94 by wrongdoing G1473 they G4395 prophesy G1473 to you G1909 in G3588 G3686 my name, G1473 G2532 and G3756 [³not G649 ¹I sent G1473 ²them], G3004 says G2962 the lord .

10 G3754 For G3779 thus G2036 said G2962 the lord, G3752 Whenever G3195 [³ is about G4137 ⁴to be filled G1722 ⁵in G* ⁶Babylon G1440 ¹seventy G2094 ²years], G1980 I will visit G1473 you, G2532 and G2186 I will set G3588 G3056 my words G1473 G1909 upon G1473 you, G3588 G1994 to return G3588 G2992 your people G1473 G1519 unto G3588 G5117 this place. 11 G2532 And G3049 I will devise G1909 for G1473 you G3053 a device G1515 of peace, G2532 and G3756 not G2556 evils, G3588 G1325 to give G1473 to you G3778 these things .

12 G2532 And G4336 pray G4314 to G1473 me! G2532 and G1522 I will hearken to G1473 you.

13 G2532 And G1567 seek after G1473 me! G2532 and G2147 you shall find G1473 me. G3754 For G3752 whenever G1567 you should seek after G1473 me G1722 with G3650 [²entire G2588 ³heart G1473 ¹your],

14 G2532 then G2014 I shall appear unto G1473 you.

15 G3754 For G2036 you said, G2525 [²placed G1473 ⁴to us G2962 ¹ The lord G4396 ³prophets] G1722 in G* Babylon.

16 G3779 Thus G3004 says G2962 the lord G4314 to G3588 the G935 king, G3588 the one G2521 sitting G1909 upon G2362 the throne G* of David, G2532 and G4314 to G3956 all G3588 the G2992 people, G3588 the one G2730 dwelling G1722 in G3588 G4172 this city, G3778 G2532 G4314 to G3588 G80 your brethren, G1473 G3588 the ones G3756 not G1607 going forth G3326 with G1473 you G1519 into G161 captivity.

17 G3779 Thus G3004 says G2962 the lord G3588 of the G1411 forces, G2400 Behold, G1473 I G649 shall send G1519 to G1473 them G3162 a sword, G2532 and G3042 famine, G2532 and G3061 pestilence. 18 G2532 And G1377 I shall pursue G1473 them G1722 with G3162 a sword, G2532 and G3042 famine, G2532 and G3061 pestilence. G2532 And G1325 I shall give G1473 them G1519 for G2796 movement G1722 in G3956 all G3588 the G932 kingdoms G3588 of the G1093 earth, G2532 and G1519 for G2671 a curse, G2532 and G1519 for G640 perplexity, G2532 and G1519 for G4947.4 a hissing, G2532 and G1519 for G3680 scorning G3956 to all G3588 the G1484 nations G4314 to G3739 whom G1473 I G1544 cast them. 19 G1360 For G3756 they hearkened not to G191 G3588 G4487 my words, G3004 says G2962 the lord, G3739 which G649 I sent G4314 to G1473 them G1223 through G3588 G1401 my servants G1473 G3588 the G4396 prophets, G3719 rising early G2532 and G649 sending; G2532 and G3756 they hearkened not, G191 G3004 says G2962 the lord .

21 G3779 Thus G2036 said G2962 the lord G1909 against G* Ahab G5207 son G* of Kolaiah, G2532 and G1909 against G* Zedekiah G5207 son G* of Maaseiah, G3588 the ones G4395 prophesying G1473 to you G1722 [²in G3686 ³my name G1473 G5579 ¹lies]. G2400 Behold, G1473 I G1325 give G1473 them G1519 into G5495 the hands G935 of the king G* of Babylon. G2532 And G3960 he shall strike G1473 them G2596 before G3788 your eyes. G1473

22 G2532 And G2983 they shall take G575 from G1473 them G2671 a curse G1722 in G3956 all G3588 the G599.2 resettlement G* of Judah G1722 in G* Babylon, G3004 saying, G4160 Let [²do G1473 ³to you G2962 ¹ the lord] G5613 as G* [²to Zedekiah G4160 ¹he did], G2532 and G5613 as G* Ahab! G3739 whom G658.2 [³fried G935 ¹ the king G* ²of Babylon] G1722 in G4442 fire.

23 G1223 Because of G3739 [²which G4160 ³they did G458 ¹ the lawlessness] G1722 in G* Jerusalem, G2532 and G3429 they committed adultery with G3588 the G1135 women G3588 G4177 of their fellow-countrymen, G1473 G2532 and G3056 [²a word G5537 ¹they executed] G1909 by G3588 G3686 my name G1473 G3739 which G3756 I did not G4929 order G1473 to them; G2532 and G1473 I am G3144 witness, G5346 says G2962 the lord .

24 G2532 And G4314 to G* Shemaiah G3588 the G* Nehelamite G2046 you shall say,

25 G3756 I did not G649 send G1473 you G3588 G3686 in my name. G1473 G2532 And G4314 to G* Zephaniah G5207 son G* of Maaseiah G3588 the G2409 priest G2036 he said,

26 G2962 The lord G1325 appointed G1473 you G2409 priest G473 instead of G* Jehoiada G3588 the G2409 priest, G1096 to become G1988 supervisor G1722 in G3588 the G3624 house G2962 of the lord G3956 to every G444 man G4395 prophesying, G2532 and G3956 to every G444 man G3105 being maniacal, G2532 and G1325 you shall put G1473 him G1519 in G3588 the G607.4 prison, G2532 and G1519 in G3588 the G2674.1 dungeon.

27 G2532 And G3568 now, G1302 why did G3756 you not join in reviling G4817.2 G* Jeremiah, G3588 the one G1537 from G* Anathoth, G3588 the one G4395 prophesying G1473 to you?

28 G3754 For G1223 on account of G3778 this, G649 he sent G4314 to G1473 us G1722 in G* Babylon, G3004 saying, G3112 Freedom is far off -- G1510.2.3 G3618 build G3614 houses, G2532 and G2730 inhabit them, G2532 and G5452 plant G2779 gardens, G2532 and G2068 eat G3588 G2590 their fruit! G1473

29 G2532 And G314 Zephaniah read G* G3588 the G975 scroll G1519 into G3588 the G3775 ears G* of Jeremiah G3588 the G4396 prophet.

30 G2532 And G1096 came to pass G3056 the word G2962 of the lord G4314 to G* Jeremiah, G3004 saying,

31 G649 Send G4314 to G3956 all G3588 the G599.2 resettlement, G3004 saying, G3779 Thus G2036 said G2962 the lord G1909 against G* Shemaiah G3588 the G* Nehelamite, G1894 Since G4395 [²prophesied G1473 ³to you G* ¹Shemaiah], G2532 and G1473 I G3756 did not G649 send G1473 him, G2532 and G3982 [³rely G4160 ¹he made G1473 ²you] G1909 upon G94 wrongdoing;

32 G1223 on account of G3778 this, G3779 thus G2036 said G2962 the lord, G2400 Behold, G1473 I G1980 shall visit G1909 against G* Shemaiah, G2532 and G1909 against G3588 G1085 his kind; G1473 G2532 and G3756 there will not be G1510.8.3 G1473 to him G444 a man G1722 in G3319 the midst G1473 of you G3588 G1492 to behold G3588 the G18 good things G3739 which G1473 I G4160 shall do G1473 to you, G3004 says G2962 the lord; G3754 for G646 [²defection G2980 ¹he spoke] G2596 against G3588 the G2962 lord .
