2 Samuel 9 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?

1 H1732 And David H559 said, H5750 Is there yet H3498 any that is left H1004 of the house H7586 of Saul, H6213 that I may show H2617 him kindness H3129 for Jonathan’s H5668 sake?

2 H1004 And there was of the house H7586 of Saul H5650 a servant H8034 whose name H6717 was Ziba. H7121 And when they had called H1732 him to David, H4428 the king H559 said H6717 to him, Are you Ziba? H559 And he said, H5650 Your servant is he.

3 H4428 And the king H559 said, H5750 Is there not yet H376 any H1004 of the house H7586 of Saul, H6213 that I may show H2617 the kindness H430 of God H6717 to him? And Ziba H559 said H4428 to the king, H3083 Jonathan H5750 has yet H1121 a son, H5223 which is lame H7272 on his feet.

4 H4428 And the king H559 said H375 to him, Where H6717 is he? And Ziba H559 said H4428 to the king, H2009 Behold, H1004 he is in the house H4353 of Machir, H1121 the son H5988 of Ammiel, H3810 in Lodebar.

5 H4428 Then king H1732 David H7971 sent, H3947 and fetched H1004 him out of the house H4353 of Machir, H1121 the son H5988 of Ammiel, H3810 from Lodebar.

6 H4648 Now when Mephibosheth, H1121 the son H3083 of Jonathan, H1121 the son H7586 of Saul, H935 was come H1732 to David, H5307 he fell H5921 on H6440 his face, H7812 and did reverence. H1732 And David H559 said, H4648 Mephibosheth. H559 And he answered, H2009 Behold H5650 your servant!

7 H1732 And David H559 said H3372 to him, Fear H3588 not: for I will surely H6213 show H2617 you kindness H3083 for Jonathan H1 your father’s H5668 sake, H7725 and will restore H3605 you all H7704 the land H7586 of Saul H1 your father; H398 and you shall eat H3899 bread H5921 at H7979 my table H8548 continually.

8 H7812 And he bowed H559 himself, and said, H4100 What H5650 is your servant, H6437 that you should look H4191 on such a dead H3611 dog as I am?

9 H4428 Then the king H7121 called H6717 to Ziba, H7586 Saul’s H5288 servant, H559 and said H5414 to him, I have given H113 to your master’s H1121 son H3605 all H1961 that pertained H7586 to Saul H3605 and to all H1004 his house.

10 H1121 You therefore, and your sons, H5650 and your servants, H5647 shall till H127 the land H935 for him, and you shall bring H113 in the fruits, that your master’s H1121 son H1961 may have H3899 food H398 to eat: H4648 but Mephibosheth H113 your master’s H1121 son H398 shall eat H3899 bread H8548 always H5921 at H7979 my table. H6717 Now Ziba H2568 had fifteen H6240 H1121 sons H6242 and twenty H5650 servants.

11 H559 Then said H6717 Ziba H4428 to the king, H3605 According to all H113 that my lord H4428 the king H6680 has commanded H5650 his servant, H3651 so H5650 shall your servant H6213 do. H4648 As for Mephibosheth, H4428 said the king, H398 he shall eat H5921 at H7979 my table, H259 as one H4428 of the king’s H1121 sons.

12 H4648 And Mephibosheth H6996 had a young H1121 son, H8034 whose name H4316 was Micha. H3605 And all H4186 that dwelled H1004 in the house H6717 of Ziba H5650 were servants H4648 to Mephibosheth.

13 H4648 So Mephibosheth H3427 dwelled H3389 in Jerusalem: H398 for he did eat H8548 continually H5921 at H4428 the king’s H7979 table; H6455 and was lame H8147 on both H7272 his feet.
