Hosea The word of Jehovah that came unto Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

1 H1697 The word H3068 of Jehovah H1954 that came unto Hosea H1121 the son H882 of Beeri, H3117 in the days H5818 of Uzziah, H3147 Jotham, H271 Ahaz, H3169 and Hezekiah, H4428 kings H3063 of Judah, H3117 and in the days H3379 of Jeroboam H1121 the son H3101 of Joash, H4428 king H3478 of Israel.

2 H3068 When Jehovah H559 spake H8462 at the first H1954 by Hosea, H3068 Jehovah H559 said H1954 unto Hosea, H3212 Go, H3947 take H802 unto thee a wife H2183 of whoredom H3206 and children H2181 of whoredom; H776 for the land H2181 doth commit great H2181 whoredom, H310 departing from H3068 Jehovah.

3 H3212 So he went H3947 and took H1586 Gomer H1323 the daughter H1691 of Diblaim; H2029 and she conceived, H3205 and bare H1121 him a son.

4 H3068 And Jehovah H559 said H7121 unto him, Call H8034 his name H3157 Jezreel; H4592 for yet a little H6485 while, and I will avenge H1818 the blood H3157 of Jezreel H1004 upon the house H3058 of Jehu, H4468 and will cause the kingdom H1004 of the house H3478 of Israel H7673 to cease.

5 H3117 And it shall come to pass at that day, H7665 that I will break H7198 the bow H3478 of Israel H6010 in the valley H3157 of Jezreel.

6 H2029 And she conceived again, H3205 and bare H1323 a daughter. H559 And Jehovah said H7121 unto him, Call H8034 her name H3819 Lo-ruhamah; H3254 for I will no more H7355 have mercy H1004 upon the house H3478 of Israel, H5375 that I should H5375 in any wise pardon them.

7 H7355 But I will have mercy H1004 upon the house H3063 of Judah, H3467 and will save H3068 them by Jehovah H430 their God, H3467 and will not save H7198 them by bow, H2719 nor by sword, H4421 nor by battle, H5483 by horses, H6571 nor by horsemen.

8 H1580 Now when she had weaned H3819 Lo-ruhamah, H2029 she conceived, H3205 and bare H1121 a son.

9 H559 And Jehovah said, H7121 Call H8034 his name H3818 Lo-ammi; H5971 for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.

10 H4557 Yet the number H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H2344 shall be as the sand H3220 of the sea, H4058 which cannot be measured H5608 nor numbered; H4725 and it shall come to pass that, in the place H559 where it was said H5971 unto them, Ye are not my people, H559 it shall be said H1121 unto them, Ye are the sons H2416 of the living H410 God.

11 H1121 And the children H3063 of Judah H1121 and the children H3478 of Israel H6908 shall be gathered H3162 together, H7760 and they shall appoint H259 themselves one H7218 head, H5927 and shall go up H776 from the land; H1419 for great H3117 shall be the day H3157 of Jezreel.
