11 Εἶπεν (He said) δέ (then), “Ἄνθρωπός (A man) τις (certain) εἶχεν (had) δύο (two) υἱούς (sons).
12 καὶ (And) εἶπεν (said) ὁ (the) νεώτερος (younger) αὐτῶν (of them) τῷ (to) πατρί (the father), ‘Πάτερ (Father), δός (give) μοι (to me) τὸ (the) ἐπιβάλλον (falling to me) μέρος (portion) τῆς (of the) οὐσίας (property).’ ὁ (-) δὲ (And) διεῖλεν (he divided) αὐτοῖς (between them) τὸν (the) βίον (property).
13 Καὶ (And) μετ’ (after) οὐ (not) πολλὰς (many) ἡμέρας (days), συναγαγὼν (having gathered together) πάντα (all), ὁ (the) νεώτερος (younger) υἱὸς (son) ἀπεδήμησεν (went away) εἰς (into) χώραν (a country) μακράν (distant), καὶ (and) ἐκεῖ (there) διεσκόρπισεν (he wasted) τὴν (the) οὐσίαν (estate) αὐτοῦ (of him), ζῶν (living) ἀσώτως (prodigally).
