Esther 10

CLV(i) 1 King Xerxes imposed tribute on the mainland and the islands of the sea. 2 All the achievements of his might and his masterful deeds, and the exact statement of Mordecai's greatness whom the king had magnified, are they not written in the scroll of records of the days of the kings of Media and Persia? 3 For Mordecai the Jew was second to king Xerxes and towering among the Jews and held dear by many of his brothers; he sought after the good for his people and spoke up for the welfare of all his seed.
