Psalms 56

CLV(i) 1 {A Davidic Inscribed Psalm{ {When the Philistines held him in Gath{ Be gracious to me, O Elohim, for a mortal gasps after me; All day long this fighting man is oppressing me." 2 They gasp, those who lie in wait for me the entire day, For many are fighting against me haughtily." 3 The day when I am fearing I am trusting in You. 4 In Elohim, I am praising His word; In Elohim I trust; I shall not fear; What can flesh do to me? 5 All day long they are wresting my words; All their devisings are against me for evil. 6 They are stirring up plots; they are lurking; They are keeping track of my heel prints, As though they expected to take my soul." 7 Mete out to them according to their lawlessness; In anger bring down the peoples, O Elohim." 8 You Yourself keep number of my wanderings; Do place my tears in Your skin bottle; Are they not recorded in Your scroll? 9 Then my enemies shall turn away in the day I call out; This I know:that Elohim is for me. 10 In Elohim I shall praise the word; In Yahweh I shall praise the word; 11 In Elohim I trust; I shall not fear; What can a human do to me? 12 O Elohim, I am under vows to You; I shall pay acclamation offerings to You." 13 For You have rescued my soul from death, And not also my feet from foundering?
