RECHAB AM FORSAKES THE TORAH
And so be it, Rechab Am establishes the sovereigndom and strengthens himself, and he forsakes the torah of Yah Veh and all Yisra El with him. 2
SOVEREIGN OF MISRAYIM ASCENDS AGAINST YERU SHALEM
And so be it, in the fifth year of sovereign Rechab Am, Shishak sovereign of Misrayim ascends against Yeru Shalem - because they treasoned against Yah Veh 3 with twelve hundred chariots and sixty thousand cavalry: and people without number come with him from Misrayim - the Lubiym, the Sukkiym and the Kushiym: 4 and he captures the rampart cities of Yah Hudah and comes to Yeru Shalem. 5 And Shema Yah the prophet comes to Rechab Am and to the governors of Yah Hudah who gather to Yeru Shalem from the face of Shishak; and says to them, Thus says Yah Veh: You forsook me; and I also left you in the hand of Shishak. 6 And the governors of Yisra El and the sovereign humble themselves; and they say, Yah Veh is just. 7 And Yah Veh sees them humble themselves, and the word of Yah Veh comes to Shema Yah, saying, They humble themselves; I ruin them not, but I give them a little escape; and not pour my fury on Yeru Shalem by the hand of Shishak: 8 but they become his servants; so that they know my service and the service of the sovereigndoms of the lands. 9 And Shishak sovereign of Misrayim ascends against Yeru Shalem and takes away the treasures of the house of Yah Veh and the treasures of the house of the sovereign - he takes all: and he takes the bucklers of gold Shelomoh worked: 10 and in their stead sovereign Rechab Am works bucklers of copper and gives their oversight to the hands of the governor of the runners who guard the portal of the house of the sovereign. 11 And the sovereign enters the house of Yah Veh, and the runners come and lift them and return them to the runners chamber. 12 And he humbles himself, the wrath of Yah Veh turns from him, to not ruin him fully: and also in Yah Hudah all goes good. 13 And sovereign Rechab Am strengthens himself in Yeru Shalem and reigns: for Rechab Am is a son of forty-one years when he begins to reign; and he reigns seventeen years in Yeru Shalem - the city Yah Veh chose from all the scions of Yisra El to set his name there. And the name of his mother, Naamah - an Ammoniyth: 14 and he works evil, because he prepares not his heart to seek Yah Veh. 15 And the words of Rechab Am, first and last, are they not inscribed in the words of Shema Yah the prophet? And genealogized by Iddo the seer? And the wars of Rechab Am and Yarob Am all days? 16 And Rechab Am lies down with his fathers - entombed in the city of David: and Abi Yah his son reigns in his stead.
