AMAZ YAH REIGNS IN YERU SHALEM
Amaz Yah is a son of twenty-five years when he begins to reign; and he reigns twenty-nine years in Yeru Shalem: and the name of his mother, Yah Addan of Yeru Shalem. 2 And he works straight in the eyes of Yah Veh; but not with a heart at shalom. 3 And so be it, the sovereigndom is strong on him; and he slaughters his servants who smote the sovereign his father: 4 and he deathifies not their sons, but as inscribed in the torah in the scroll of Mosheh. Yah Veh misvahed, saying, Neither the fathers die for the sons nor the sons die for the fathers; but each dies for his own sin. 5 And Amaz Yah gathers Yah Hudah and stands governors over thousands and governors over hundreds according to the houses of their fathers throughout all Yah Hudah and Ben Yamin: and he musters them from sons of twenty years and above and finds three hundred thousand chosen of them to go forth to hostility - who hold javelin and shield: 6 and he hires a hundred thousand mighty of valor of Yisra El for a hundred rounds of silver. 7 And a man of Elohim comes to him, saying, O sovereign, the host of Yisra El goes not with you; for Yah Veh is not with Yisra El - with all the sons of Ephrayim; 8 but if you go, Work! Strengthen for the war! Elohim stumbles you at the face of the enemy: for Elohim has force to help - and to stumble. 9 And Amaz Yah says to the man of Elohim, But what work we for the hundred rounds I gave to the troop of Yisra El? And the man of Elohim says, Yah Veh is able to give you aboundingly more than this. 10 Then Amaz Yah separates them - the troop that came to him from Ephrayim to go to their place: and they kindle their wrath mightily against Yah Hudah; and return to their place in fuming wrath. 11 And Amaz Yah strengthens himself and drives his people and goes to Gay Melach/Valley of Salt and smites ten thousand of the sons of Seir: 12 and the sons of Yah Hudah capture ten thousand alive; and bring them to the top of the rock and cast them from the top of the rock; and they all split. 13 And the sons of the band of the troop whom Amaz Yah turned back to not go with him to war - they strip the cities of Yah Hudah - from Shomeron even to Beth Horon and smite three thousand of them and plunder much spoil. 14 And so be it, after Amaz Yah comes from the smiting of the Edomiy, he brings the elohim of the sons of Seir; and stands them to be his elohim; and prostrates at their face and incenses to them. 15 And Yah Veh kindles his wrath against Amaz Yah and he sends him a prophet, who says to him, Why seek you after the elohim of the people, who rescued not their own people from your hand? 16 And so be it, as he words with him, he says to him, Who gives you to be counsellor to the sovereign? Cease! Why be smitten? Then the prophet ceases and says, I know Elohim counsels to ruin, because you work this and hearken not to my counsel. 17
THE SOVEREIGN OF YAH HUDAH CHALLENGES THE SOVEREIGN OF YISRA EL
And Amaz Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah counsels and sends to Yah Ash the son of Yah Achaz the son of Yah Hu sovereign of Yisra El, saying, Come! - see one another in face! 18 And Yah Ash sovereign of Yisra El sends to Amaz Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah, saying, The thorn in Lebanon sends to the cedar in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son to woman: and a live being of the field in Lebanon passes by and tramples the thorn. 19 You say, Behold, I smote the Edomiy! - and you lift your heart to honor: settle now in your house; why coax evil so that you fall - you and Yah Hudah with you? 20 And Amaz Yah hearkens not; for it is of Elohim to give them into hand, because they seek after the elohim of Edom. 21 And Yah Ash the sovereign of Yisra El ascends; and they see one another in the face - he and Amaz Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah at Beth Shemesh - Yah Hudah. 22 - and Yah Hudah is smitten at the face of Yisra El and every man flees to his tent. 23 And Yah Ash, the sovereign of Yisra El apprehends Amaz Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah the son of Yah Ash the son of Yah Achaz at Beth Shemesh; and brings him to Yeru Shalem: and breaks the wall of Yeru Shalem from the portal of Ephrayim to the portal at the face - four hundred cubits: 24 and all the gold and the silver and all instruments they find in the house of Elohim with Obed Edom and the treasures of the house of the sovereign and the sons of the pledges - he returns to Shomeron. 25 And Amaz Yah the son of Yah Ash sovereign of Yah Hudah lives after the death of Yah Ash son of Yah Achaz sovereign of Yisra El fifteen years. 26 And the rest of the words of Amaz Yah - first and last, behold, are they not inscribed in the scroll of the words of the days of the sovereigns of Yah Hudah and Yisra El? 27 And after the time Amaz Yah turns aside from after Yah Veh they conspire a conspiracy against him in Yeru Shalem; and he flees to Lachish: and they send after him to Lachish and there they deathify him: 28 and lift him on horses and entomb him with his fathers in the city of Yah Hudah.
