THE CHAMBERS OF THE PRIESTS
And he brings me forth into the outer court, the northward way: and he brings me into the chamber over against the separation, in front of the building northward. 2 At the face, the length of the north opening, a hundred cubits, and the breadth, fifty cubits. 3 Over against the twenty for the inner court, and over against the pavement for the outer court, the gallery at the face of gallery, in tiers. 4 And at the face of the chambers, a walk ten cubits broad to the inside, a way of one cubit; and their openings, northward. 5 And the most high chambers are shorter: for the galleries contain more than these - than the nether and than the middlemost of the building. 6 For they are in tiers, but not pillars as the pillars of the courts: so it sets back from the earth more than the nethermost and the middlemost. 7 And the outward wall alongside the chambers, the way of the outer court at the face of the chambers, the length, fifty cubits. 8 For the length of the chambers in the outer court, fifty cubits: and behold, at the face of the manse, a hundred cubits. 9 And under these chambers, the entry on the east, as one enters them from the outer court: 10 with the chambers in the breadth of the wall of the court to the eastward way, at the face of the separation, and at the face of the building. 11 And the way at their face is as the visage of the chambers to the northward way; as their length, thus their breadth: and all their proceedings according to their judgments, and according to their openings. 12 And according to the openings of the chambers to the southward way, an opening in the head of the way; the way, turning at the face of the wall to the eastward way, as one enters them. 13 Then says he to me, The northward chambers and the southward chambers at the face of the separation, are holy chambers, where the priests who approach to Yah Veh eat the holy of holies: there they set the holy of holies and the offering and that for the sin and that for the guilt; for the place is holy. 14 When the priests enter therein, they not go from the holies into the outer court; but there they set their clothes wherein they minister; for they are holy: and enrobe other clothes, and approach those which are for the people. 15
THE MEASURING OF THE OUTWARD COURT
And he finishes measuring the inner house; and he brings me forth the way of the portal at the face of the eastward way, and measures it all around and all around. 16 He measures the east wind/spirit with the measuring stalk, five cubits of stalks, with the measuring stalk all around and all around. 17 He measures the north wind/spirit, five hundred stalks, with the measuring stalk all around and all around. 18 He measures the southerly wind/spirit, five hundred stalks, with the measuring stalk. 19 He turns around to the seaward wind/spirit, and measures five hundred stalks with the measuring stalk: 20 he measures it by the four winds/spirits: with a wall all around and all around, five hundred long, and five hundred broad, to separate between the holies and the profane.
