THE PRAYER OF YIRME YAH
You are just, O Yah Veh, O that I plead with you - word to you of judgments! Why prospers the way of the wicked? Why are all they serene - who in dealing covertly, deal covertly? 2 You planted them; yes, they root: they grow; yes, they work fruit: you are near in their mouth and far from their reins. 3 And you, O Yah Veh, know me: you see me and proof my heart toward you: tear them as flock for the slaughter and hallow them for the day of slaughter. 4 How long mourns the land? And the herbs of every field wither for their evil who settle therein? The animals are scraped away, and the flyers; because, they say, He sees not our final end. 5 If you run with them on foot, and they weary you, and how inflame you yourself with horses? And if in the land of shalom, wherein you confide, then how work you in the pomp of Yarden? 6 For even your brothers, and the house of your father - even they dealt covertly with you; yes, they called a multitude after you: trust them not, though they word good words to you. 7 I forsook my house; I abandoned my inheritance; I gave the beloved of my soul into the palm of her enemies: 8 To me, my inheritance is as a lion in the forest; she gives her voice against me: so I hate her. 9 To me, my inheritance is as a speckled swooper. Are the swoopers all around against her? Come, gather all the live beings of the field; come for food. 10 Many tenders ruin my vineyard; they trample my allotment; they give the allotment of my desire a desolate wilderness: 11 they set it desolate; and desolate, it mourns to me; the whole land is desolated because no man sets it to heart. 12 The ravagers come on all the barrens in the wilderness: for the sword of Yah Veh devours from the end of the land even to the end of the land - no shalom to any flesh. 13 They seed wheat; and harvest thorns: they wear out; they benefit not: and they shame of your produce because of the fuming wrath of Yah Veh. 14 Thus says Yah Veh against all my evil fellow tabernaclers, who touch the inheritance that I have my people Yisra El to inherit: behold, I uproot them from their soil; and uproot the house of Yah Hudah from among them. 15 And so be it, after I uproot them, I return and compassion them, return them - every man to his inheritance and every man to his land. 16 And so be it, if they diligently learn the ways of my people, to oath by my name - Yah Veh lives! As they taught my people to oath by Baal; thus are they built midst my people. 17 And if they hearken not, In uprooting, I uproot and destroy that goyim - an oracle of Yah Veh.
