THE JUDGMENT OF THE HOUSE OF YAH HUDAH
Thus says Yah Veh: Descend to the house of the sovereign of Yah Hudah and word there this word, 2 and say, Hear the word of Yah Veh, O sovereign of Yah Hudah, who sits on the throne of David - you and your servants and your people entering by these portals. 3 Thus says Yah Veh: Work judgment and justness and rescue the stripped from the hand of the oppressor: and neither wrong nor violate the sojourner, the orphan and the widow; nor pour innocent blood in this place. 4 For if in working, ye work this word, then there enters in by the portals of this house sovereigns sitting on the throne of David riding in chariots and on horses - he and his servants and his people: 5 and if you hear not these words, I oath by myself - an oracle of Yah Veh that this house becomes a parched area. 6 For thus says Yah Veh to the house of the sovereign of Yah Hudah: You are my Gilad - the head of Lebanon: surely I place you a wilderness, and cities not settled: 7 and I hallow ruiners against you, - every man with his instruments: and they cut down your choice cedars and fell them in the fire. 8 And many goyim pass by this city and they say every man to his friend, Why works Yah Veh thus to this great city? 9 And they say, Because they forsook the covenant of Yah Veh their Elohim; and prostrated to other elohim and served them. 10 Neither weep you for the dead nor wag over him: but in weeping, weep for him who goes away: for he neither returns any more nor sees his native land. 11 For thus says Yah Veh concerning Shallum the son of Yoshi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah - who reigned in the stead of Yoshi Yah his father - who went from this place, He returns here no more; 12 he dies in the place they exiled him and sees this land no more. 13 Ho to him who builds his house without justness and his upper rooms without judgment; who uses the service of his friend gratuitously, and gives him not for his deeds; 14 who says, I build me a house of measure and breathtaking upper rooms; and rip out windows and ciel with cedar and anoint with vermilion. 15 Reign you, because you are inflamed in cedar? Your father - ate and drank he not? Yes, he worked judgment and justness - and for his own good: 16 he pleaded the cause of the humble and needy; - and for his good: Was this not to know me? - an oracle of Yah Veh. 17 But your eyes and your heart are for naught but your greedy gain and for pouring innocent blood and for oppression and to work violence. 18 So thus says Yah Veh concerning Yah Yaqim the son of Yoshi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah: They chop not for him, saying, Ho my brother! or, Ho sister! they chop not for him, Ho adoni! or, Ho his majesty! 19 He is entombed with the tomb of a burro - dragged and cast forth beyond the portals of Yeru Shalem. 20 Ascend to Lebanon and cry; and give your voice in Bashan and cry from Abirim: for all your lovers are broken. 21 I worded to you in your serenity; you said, I hear not. This is your way from your youth, that you hearkened not to my voice. 22 The wind tends all your tenders and your lovers go into captivity: surely then you shame and confound for all your evil. 23 O settler of Lebanon, who nests in the cedars, how charismatic are you when pangs come on you - the pang as in birthing! 24 I live, - an oracle of Yah Veh; though Kon Yah the son of Yah Yaqim sovereign of Yah Hudah were seal on my right hand, yet I tear you thence; 25 and I give you into the hand of them who seek your soul and into the hand of them whose face you fear - even into the hand of Nebukadnets Tsar sovereign of Babel and into the hand of the Kesediym: 26 and I cast you and your mother who birthed you into another land where you were not birthed; and there you die. 27 And to the land to which they lift their soul to return they return not. 28 Is this man Kon Yah a despised splattered idol? An instrument wherein is no delight? Why are they cast out, he and his seed, - cast into a land they know not? 29 O earth! Earth! Earth! Hear the word of Yah Veh! 30 Thus says Yah Veh: Inscribe this man barren, a mighty who prospers not in his days: for no man of his seed prospers - sitting on the throne of David and reigning any more in Yah Hudah.
