THE WORD AGAINST SIDQI YAH
So be the word to Yirme Yah from Yah Veh - when Nebukadnets Tsar sovereign of Babel and all his valiant and all the kingdoms of the earth of the reign of his hand and all the people fight against Yeru Shalem, and against all the cities, saying, 2 Thus says Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El: Go and say to Sidqi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah, and say to him, Thus says Yah Veh: Behold, I give this city into the hand of the sovereign of Babel to burn with fire; 3 and you escape not from his hand: for in apprehending, you are apprehended and given into his hand: and your eyes see the eyes of the sovereign of Babel and he words with you mouth to mouth; and you go to Babel. 4 Yet hear the word of Yah Veh, O Sidqi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah; Thus says Yah Veh of you: You die not by the sword: 5 you die in shalom: and with the cremations of your fathers the former sovereigns at your face; thus they burn for you: and they chop for you: Ho adoni! for the word I worded - an oracle of Yah Veh. 6 And Yirme Yah the prophet words all these words to Sidqi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah in Yeru Shalem, 7 when the valiant of the sovereign of Babel fight against Yeru Shalem and against all the cities of Yah Hudah that remain - against Lachish and against Azeqah: for of the fortified cities these cities of Yah Hudah remained. 8 So be the word to Yirme Yah from Yah Veh, after the sovereign Sidqi Yah cuts a covenant with all the people at Yeru Shalem - to call out liberty to them; 9 that every man send away his servant and every man his maid - Hebrew or Hebrewess: - liberated, that they serve no one - a Yah Hudahiy by his brother. 10 And all the governors and all the people who entered into the covenant hear that every man liberated his servant and every man his maid so that no one be served by them any more; and they hearken and send them away: 11 and afterward they turn, and return the servants and the maids, whom they sent away liberated; and bring them into subjection for servants and for maids. 12 And so be the word of Yah Veh to Yirme Yah from Yah Veh, saying, 13 Thus says Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El: I cut a covenant with your fathers in the day I brought them from the land of Misrayim - from the house of servants, saying, 14 At the end of seven years every man sends away his brother - a Hebrew sold to you - who serves you six years: send him away liberated from you: and your fathers neither hearkened to me, nor spread their ear. 15 And today you turn and work straight in my eyes in calling out liberty - every man to his friend; and you cut a covenant at my face in the house on which my name is called: 16 and you turn and profane my name: and every man has his servant and every man his maid to whom he spread liberty at their soul, to return, and bring them into subjection being for servants and for maids. 17 So thus says Yah Veh: You hearken not to me, in calling out liberty - every man to his brother and every man to his friend: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you - an oracle of Yah Veh to the sword, to the pestilence and to the famine; and I give you for an agitation into all the kingdoms of the earth: 18 and I give the men who tresspass my covenant, who raise not the words of the covenant to cut at my face - when they cut the calf in two and passed between the sections 19 - the governors of Yah Hudah and the governors of Yeru Shalem, the eunuchs, and the priests and all the people of the land who passed between the sections of the calf; 20 yes, I give them into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of them who seek their soul: and their carcases become food to the flyers of the heavens and to the animals of the earth: 21 and I give Sidqi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah and his governors into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of them who seek their soul and into the hand of the valiant of the sovereign of Babel, who ascend from you. 22 Behold, I misvah - an oracle of Yah Veh and return them to this city; and they fight against it and capture it and burn it with fire: and I give the cities of Yah Hudah a desolation without a settler.
