YAH VEH PLEADS WITH YISRA EL
If you return, O Yisra El, - an oracle of Yah Veh return to me; and if you turn aside your abominations from my face, then you wander not: 2 and you oath, Yah Veh lives! - in truth, in judgment and in justness: and the goyim bless themselves in him and in him they halal. 3 For thus says Yah Veh to the men of Yah Hudah and Yeru Shalem, Till your tillage; seed not among thorns: 4 circumcise yourselves to Yah Veh and turn aside the foreskins of your heart, you men of Yah Hudah and settlers of Yeru Shalem: lest my fury comes forth as fire and burns so that no one can quench it at the face of the evil of your exploitations. 5
YAH VEH WARNS YISRA EL
Tell it in Yah Hudah and have it heard in Yeru Shalem; and say, Blast the shophar in the land! Call out, fulfill, and say, Gather, and we go into the fortified cities. 6 Lift the ensign toward Siyon: withdraw, stay not: for I bring evil from the north and a great breaking. 7 The lion ascends from his thicket and the ruiner of the goyim is on his way; he comes from his place to set your land desolate; and set your cities desolate; without a settler. 8 For this gird with saq; chop and howl: for the fuming wrath of Yah Veh turns not back from us. 9 And so be it, at that day, - an oracle of Yah Veh the heart of the sovereign destructs, and the heart of the governors; and the priests astonish and the prophets marvel. 10 And I say, Aha, Adonay Yah Veh! In deceiving, you deceive this people and Yeru Shalem, saying, Shalom is yours! - whereas the sword touches to the soul. 11 At that time it is said to this people and to Yeru Shalem, A clear wind of the barrens in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people - neither to winnow nor to purify: 12 a full wind comes to me: now also, I word judgment against them. 13 Behold, he ascends as clouds, and his chariots as a hurricane: swifter than eagles are his horses. Woe to us! For we are ravaged! 14 O Yeru Shalem, launder your heart from evil, to be saved. Until when stay your fabrications of mischief overnight within you? 15 For a voice tells from Dan, and hearkens mischief from mount Ephrayim. 16 Remind the goyim; behold, that it be heard against Yeru Shalem; that guards are coming from a land afar, and give their voice against the cities of Yah Hudah. 17 As guards of a field, they are against her all around; because she rebels against me - an oracle of Yah Veh. 18 Your way and your exploitations work these to you; this is your evil; because it is bitter; because it reaches to your heart. 19 My inwards! My inwards! I writhe at the walls of my heart; my heart roars within me; I cannot hush, because you hear, O my soul, the voice of the shophar - the blast of war. 20 Breech upon breech is called out; for the whole land is ravaged: suddenly my tents are ravaged - and my curtains in a blink. 21 Until when see I the ensign and hear the voice of the shophar? 22 For my people are foolish, they know me not; foolish sons and they discern not: wise to vilify and to well-please they know not. 23 I see the earth; and behold, waste and empty; and the heavens, and no light: 24 I see the mountains, and behold, they quake; and all the hills abate: 25 I see, and behold, no human; and all the flyers of the heavens flee: 26 I see, and behold, the orchard/Karmel is a wilderness; and all the cities are pulled down at the face of Yah Veh by his fuming wrath. 27 For thus says Yah Veh, The whole land becomes desolate; yet I work not a final finish: 28 for this the earth mourns and the heavens above darken - because I worded it; I intrigued: and I neither sigh nor turn back therefrom. 29 The whole city flees at the voice of the cavalry and them who hurl the bow; they go into thick clouds and ascend on the rocks: every city is forsaken and not a man settles therein. 30 And you, O ravaged, what work you? Though you enrobe yourself with scarlet, though you adorn with ornaments of gold, though you rip your eyes with stibium, you beautify yourself in vain: they who pant after you, spurn you; they seek your soul. 31 For I hear a voice as of stroking and the tribulation as of bursting the matrix - the voice of the daughter of Siyon sighing - who spreads her palms, Woe is me I beseech! for my soul languishes because of murderers.
