38 and he comes to the house of the arch of the synagogue; and observes the tumult and them who weep and haloo much.
39 And he enters and words to them, Why make you this tumult, and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeps.
40 - and they ridicule him. THE DAUGHTERLING OF YAIR LIVES And he casts them all out and takes the father and the mother of the child and those with him, and enters where the child reposes:
41 and he overpowers the child by the hand, and words to her, Taleh quwm; which is, being translated, Maiden, I word to you, Rise.
42 - and straightway the maiden rises and walks - for she is of the age of twelve years. And they are astounded with a mega ecstasis.
43 And he charges them much, that no one know it; and says to give her somewhat to eat.
