Psalms 141

ECB(i) 1 A Psalm by David. O Yah Veh, I call to you; hasten to me; hearken to my voice when I call to you: 2 I prepare my prayer at your face as incense; and the burden of my palms as the evening offering. 3 Set a guard, O Yah Veh, in front of my mouth; guard the door of my lips; 4 spread not my heart to any evil word - to exploit wicked exploits with men who work mischief - that I not eat of their delicacies. 5 The just hammer me in mercy, and reprove me; an ointment of the head - which my head disallows not; for my prayer is yet against their evil. 6 Their judges are released by the hands of the rocks; they hear my sayings; they are pleased. 7 Our bones are scattered at the mouth of sheol as one cleaving and splitting the earth. 8 But to you, O Yah Veh Adonay, are my eyes; in you I seek refuge; strip not my soul naked: 9 guard me from the hands of the snares they ensnare for me - and the snares of the doers of mischief. 10 Fell the wicked into their own nets, until I pass over.
