Psalms 143

ECB(i) 1 A Psalm: By David. Hear my prayer, O Yah Veh; hearken to my supplications: in your trustworthiness answer me - in your justness. 2 And enter not into judgment with your servant; for at your face no one living is justified; 3 for an enemy pursues my soul; he crushes my life to the earth; he settles me in darkness as the eternal dead: 4 my spirit within me languishes; my heart within me desolates: 5 I remember the days of antiquity; I meditate on all your deeds; I meditate on the work of your hands: 6 I spread my hands to you; my soul is as a languid land for you. Selah. 7 Answer me hastily, O Yah Veh; my spirit finishes off: hide not your face from me; lest I be as they who descend in the well: 8 that I hear your mercy in the morning; for in you I confide: that I know the way wherein I walk; for I lift up my soul to you. 9 Rescue me, O Yah Veh, from my enemies - cover me with yourself; 10 teach me to work your pleasure for you are my Elohim; your spirit is good; lead me into the land of straightness. 11 Enliven me, O Yah Veh, for sake of your name; for sake of your justness bring my soul from tribulation: 12 and by your mercy cut off my enemies and exterminate all who tribulate my soul; for I am your servant.
