Song of Songs 4

ECB(i) 1
THE MAN
Behold, you are beautiful, my friend! Behold, you are beautiful! Your eyes, as doves through your veil; your hair, as a drove of doe goats eating on mount Gilad: 2 your teeth, as a clipped drove ascending from the bathing - whereof every one twins and none bereft among them. 3 Your lips, as a thread of scarlet; and your speech comely; your temples, as a slice of a pomegranate through your veil; 4 your neck, as the tower of David built for arsenals whereon hang a thousand bucklers - all shields of mighty men; 5 your two breasts, as two fawn gazelle twins, tending among the lilies. 6 Until the day breathes and the shadows flee away, I walk me to the mountain of myrrh and to the hill of frankincense. 7 You are all beautiful, my friend; - no blemish in you. 8 Come with me from Lebanon, bride, with me from Lebanon; observe from the top of Amanah, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the habitations of lions, from the mountains of the leopards. 9 You hearten me, my sister bride, you hearten me with one of your eyes; with one choker of your neck. 10 How beautified your loves, my, sister bride! Better your love than wine and the scent of your ointments than all spices. 11 Your lips, O bride, drip as the honeycomb; honey and milk are under your tongue; and the scent of your clothes is as the scent of Lebanon. 12 A garden inclosed - my sister bride; a wave inclosed; a fountain sealed: 13 your branches, a paradise of pomegranates, with precious fruits; camphire, with nard; 14 nard and saffron; stalk and cinnamon; with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes; with all the head spices; 15 a fountain of gardens; a well of living waters and flowings from Lebanon. 16
THE WOMAN
Waken, O northerly! Come, you southerly! Puff on my garden so the spices flow. My beloved comes into his garden and eats his precious fruits.
