Deuteronomy 14 בנים the children אתם Ye ליהוה of the LORD אלהיכם your God: לא ye shall not תתגדדו cut yourselves, ולא nor תשׂימו make קרחה any baldness בין between עיניכם your eyes למת׃ for the dead.

1 H1121 בנים the children H859 אתם Ye H3068 ליהוה of the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God: H3808 לא ye shall not H1413 תתגדדו cut yourselves, H3808 ולא nor H7760 תשׂימו make H7144 קרחה any baldness H996 בין between H5869 עיניכם your eyes H4191 למת׃ for the dead.

2 H3588 כי For H5971 עם people H6918 קדושׁ a holy H859 אתה thou H3068 ליהוה unto the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God, H977 ובך בחר hath chosen H3068 יהוה and the LORD H1961 להיות thee to be H5971 לו לעם people H5459 סגלה a peculiar H3605 מכל unto himself, above all H5971 העמים the nations H834 אשׁר that H5921 על upon H6440 פני upon H127 האדמה׃ the earth.

3 H3808 לא Thou shalt not H398 תאכל eat H3605 כל any H8441 תועבה׃ abominable thing.

4 H2063 זאת These H929 הבהמה the beasts H834 אשׁר which H398 תאכלו ye shall eat: H7794 שׁור the ox, H7716 שׂה the sheep, H3775 כשׂבים the sheep, H7716 ושׂה and the goat, H5795 עזים׃ and the goat,

5 H354 איל The hart, H6643 וצבי and the roebuck, H3180 ויחמור and the fallow deer, H689 ואקו and the wild goat, H1788 ודישׁן and the pygarg, H8377 ותאו and the wild ox, H2169 וזמר׃ and the chamois.

6 H3605 וכל And every H929 בהמה beast H6536 מפרסת that parteth H6541 פרסה the hoof, H8156 ושׁסעת and cleaveth H8157 שׁסע the cleft H8147 שׁתי into two H6541 פרסות claws, H5927 מעלת cheweth H1625 גרה the cud H929 בבהמה among the beasts, H853 אתה H398 תאכלו׃ that ye shall eat.

7 H389 אך Nevertheless H853 את H2088 זה these H3808 לא ye shall not H398 תאכלו eat H5927 ממעלי of them that chew H1625 הגרה the cud, H6536 וממפריסי or of them that divide H6541 הפרסה hoof; H8156 השׁסועה the cloven H853 את H1581 הגמל the camel, H853 ואת H768 הארנבת and the hare, H853 ואת H8227 השׁפן and the coney: H3588 כי for H5927 מעלה chew H1625 גרה the cud, H1992 המה they H6541 ופרסה the hoof; H3808 לא not H6536 הפריסו but divide H2931 טמאים unclean H1992 הם׃ they

8 H853 ואת H2386 החזיר And the swine, H3588 כי because H6536 מפריס divideth H6541 פרסה the hoof, H1931 הוא it H3808 ולא yet cheweth not H1625 גרה the cud, H2931 טמא unclean H1931 הוא it H1320 לכם מבשׂרם of their flesh, H3808 לא unto you: ye shall not H398 תאכלו eat H5038 ובנבלתם their dead carcass. H3808 לא nor H5060 תגעו׃ touch

9 H853 את H2088 זה These H398 תאכלו ye shall eat H3605 מכל of all H834 אשׁר that H4325 במים in the waters: H3605 כל all H834 אשׁר that H5579 לו סנפיר have fins H7193 וקשׂקשׂת and scales H398 תאכלו׃ shall ye eat:

10 H3605 וכל H834 אשׁר H369 אין hath not H5579 לו סנפיר fins H7193 וקשׂקשׂת and scales H3808 לא ye may not H398 תאכלו eat; H2931 טמא unclean H1931 הוא׃ it

11 H3605 כל all H6833 צפור birds H2889 טהרה clean H398 תאכלו׃ ye shall eat.

12 H2088 וזה But these H834 אשׁר of which H3808 לא ye shall not H398 תאכלו eat: H1992 מהם H5404 הנשׁר the eagle, H6538 והפרס and the ossifrage, H5822 והעזניה׃ and the osprey,

13 H7201 והראה And the glede, H853 ואת H344 האיה and the kite, H1772 והדיה and the vulture H4327 למינה׃ after his kind,

14 H853 ואת H3605 כל And every H6158 ערב raven H4327 למינו׃ after his kind,

15 H853 ואת H1323 בת H3284 היענה H853 ואת H8464 התחמס and the night hawk, H853 ואת H7828 השׁחף and the cuckoo, H853 ואת H5322 הנץ and the hawk H4327 למינהו׃ after his kind,

16 H853 את H3563 הכוס The little owl, H853 ואת H3244 הינשׁוף and the great owl, H8580 והתנשׁמת׃ and the swan,

17 H6893 והקאת And the pelican, H853 ואת H7360 הרחמה and the gier-eagle, H853 ואת H7994 השׁלך׃ and the cormorant,

18 H2624 והחסידה And the stork, H601 והאנפה and the heron H4327 למינה after her kind, H1744 והדוכיפת and the lapwing, H5847 והעטלף׃ and the bat.

19 H3605 וכל And every H8318 שׁרץ creeping thing H5775 העוף that flieth H2931 טמא unclean H1931 הוא H3808 לכם לא unto you: they shall not H398 יאכלו׃ be eaten.

20 H3605 כל all H5775 עוף fowls H2889 טהור clean H398 תאכלו׃ ye may eat.

21 H3808 לא Ye shall not H398 תאכלו eat H3605 כל any H5038 נבלה thing that dieth of itself: H1616 לגר it unto the stranger H834 אשׁר that H8179 בשׁעריך in thy gates, H5414 תתננה thou shalt give H398 ואכלה that he may eat H176 או it; or H4376 מכר thou mayest sell H5237 לנכרי it unto an alien: H3588 כי for H5971 עם people H6918 קדושׁ a holy H859 אתה thou H3068 ליהוה unto the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God. H3808 לא Thou shalt not H1310 תבשׁל seethe H1423 גדי a kid H2461 בחלב milk. H517 אמו׃ in his mother's

22 H6237 עשׂר H6237 תעשׂר H853 את H3605 כל all H8393 תבואת the increase H2233 זרעך of thy seed, H3318 היצא bringeth forth H7704 השׂדה that the field H8141 שׁנה year H8141 שׁנה׃ by year.

23 H398 ואכלת And thou shalt eat H6440 לפני before H3069 יהוה H430 אלהיך thy God, H4725 במקום in the place H834 אשׁר which H977 יבחר he shall choose H7931 לשׁכן to place H8034 שׁמו his name H8033 שׁם there, H4643 מעשׂר the tithe H1715 דגנך of thy corn, H8492 תירשׁך of thy wine, H3323 ויצהרך and of thine oil, H1062 ובכרת and the firstlings H1241 בקרך of thy herds H6629 וצאנך and of thy flocks; H4616 למען that H3925 תלמד thou mayest learn H3372 ליראה to fear H853 את H3069 יהוה H430 אלהיך thy God H3605 כל always. H3117 הימים׃ always.

24 H3588 וכי And if H7235 ירבה be too long H4480 ממך for H1870 הדרך the way H3588 כי thee, so that H3808 לא thou art not able H3201 תוכל thou art not able H5375 שׂאתו to carry H3588 כי it; if H7368 ירחק be too far H4480 ממך from H4725 המקום the place H834 אשׁר thee, which H977 יבחר shall choose H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H7760 לשׂום to set H8034 שׁמו his name H8033 שׁם there, H3588 כי when H1288 יברכך hath blessed H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך׃ thy God

25 H5414 ונתתה Then shalt thou turn H3701 בכסף into money, H6887 וצרת H3701 הכסף the money H3027 בידך in thine hand, H1980 והלכת and shalt go H413 אל unto H4725 המקום the place H834 אשׁר which H977 יבחר shall choose: H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך׃ thy God

26 H5414 ונתתה And thou shalt bestow H3701 הכסף that money H3605 בכל for whatsoever H834 אשׁר for whatsoever H183 תאוה lusteth after, H5315 נפשׁך thy soul H1241 בבקר for oxen, H6629 ובצאן or for sheep, H3196 וביין or for wine, H7941 ובשׁכר or for strong drink, H3605 ובכל or for whatsoever H834 אשׁר or for whatsoever H7592 תשׁאלך desireth: H5315 נפשׁך thy soul H398 ואכלת and thou shalt eat H8033 שׁם there H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God, H8055 ושׂמחת and thou shalt rejoice, H859 אתה thou, H1004 וביתך׃ and thine household,

27 H3881 והלוי And the Levite H834 אשׁר that H8179 בשׁעריך within thy gates; H3808 לא thou shalt not H5800 תעזבנו forsake H3588 כי him; for H369 אין he hath no H2506 לו חלק part H5159 ונחלה nor inheritance H5973 עמך׃ with

28 H7097 מקצה H7969 שׁלשׁ of three H8141 שׁנים years H3318 תוציא thou shalt bring forth H853 את H3605 כל all H4643 מעשׂר the tithe H8393 תבואתך of thine increase H8141 בשׁנה year, H1931 ההוא the same H3240 והנחת H8179 בשׁעריך׃ within thy gates:

29 H935 ובא shall come, H3881 הלוי And the Levite, H3588 כי (because H369 אין he hath no H2506 לו חלק part H5159 ונחלה nor inheritance H5973 עמך with H1616 והגר thee,) and the stranger, H3490 והיתום and the fatherless, H490 והאלמנה and the widow, H834 אשׁר which H8179 בשׁעריך within thy gates, H398 ואכלו and shall eat H7646 ושׂבעו and be satisfied; H4616 למען that H1288 יברכך may bless H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H3605 בכל thee in all H4639 מעשׂה the work H3027 ידך of thine hand H834 אשׁר which H6213 תעשׂה׃ thou doest.
