3 H834 אשׁר For H3607 כלאו had shut him up, H6667 צדקיהו Zedekiah H4428 מלך king H3063 יהודה of Judah H559 לאמר saying, H4069 מדוע Wherefore H859 אתה dost thou H5012 נבא prophesy, H559 לאמר and say, H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H2005 הנני H5414 נתן I will give H853 את H5892 העיר city H2063 הזאת this H3027 ביד into the hand H4428 מלך of the king H894 בבל of Babylon, H3920 ולכדה׃ and he shall take

4 H6667 וצדקיהו And Zedekiah H4428 מלך king H3063 יהודה of Judah H3808 לא shall not H4422 ימלט escape H3027 מיד out of the hand H3778 הכשׂדים of the Chaldeans, H3588 כי but H5414 הנתן shall surely be delivered H5414 ינתן shall surely be delivered H3027 ביד into the hand H4428 מלך of the king H894 בבל of Babylon, H1696 ודבר and shall speak H6310 פיו him mouth H5973 עם with H6310 פיו to mouth, H5869 ועיניו and his eyes H853 את H5869 עינו his eyes; H7200 תראינה׃ shall behold

5 H894 ובבל to Babylon, H1980 יולך And he shall lead H853 את H6667 צדקיהו Zedekiah H8033 ושׁם and there H1961 יהיה shall he be H5704 עד until H6485 פקדי I visit H853 אתו H5002 נאם him, saith H3068 יהוה the LORD: H3588 כי though H3898 תלחמו ye fight H854 את with H3778 הכשׂדים the Chaldeans, H3808 לא ye shall not H6743 תצליחו׃ prosper.

6 H559 ויאמר said, H3414 ירמיהו And Jeremiah H1961 היה came H1697 דבר The word H3068 יהוה of the LORD H413 אלי unto H559 לאמר׃ me, saying,

7 H2009 הנה Behold, H2601 חנמאל Hanameel H1121 בן the son H7967 שׁלם of Shallum H1730 דדך thine uncle H935 בא shall come H413 אליך unto H559 לאמר thee, saying, H7069 קנה Buy H853 לך את H7704 שׂדי thee my field H834 אשׁר that H6068 בענתות in Anathoth: H3588 כי for H4941 לך משׁפט the right H1353 הגאלה of redemption H7069 לקנות׃ thine to buy

8 H935 ויבא came H413 אלי to H2601 חנמאל So Hanameel H1121 בן son H1730 דדי mine uncle's H1697 כדבר according to the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H413 אל me in H2691 חצר the court H4307 המטרה of the prison H559 ויאמר and said H413 אלי unto H7069 קנה me, Buy H4994 נא I pray thee, H853 את H7704 שׂדי my field, H834 אשׁר that H6068 בענתות in Anathoth, H834 אשׁר which H776 בארץ in the country H1144 בנימין of Benjamin: H3588 כי for H4941 לך משׁפט the right H3425 הירשׁה of inheritance H1353 ולך הגאלה thine, and the redemption H7069 קנה thine; buy H3045 לך ואדע for thyself. Then I knew H3588 כי that H1697 דבר the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD. H1931 הוא׃ this

9 H7069 ואקנה And I bought H853 את H7704 השׂדה the field H853 מאת H2601 חנמאל Hanameel H1121 בן son, H1730 דדי my uncle's H834 אשׁר that H6068 בענתות in Anathoth, H8254 ואשׁקלה and weighed H853 לו את H3701 הכסף him the money, H7651 שׁבעה seventeen H8255 שׁקלים shekels H6235 ועשׂרה H3701 הכסף׃ of silver.

10 H3789 ואכתב And I subscribed H5612 בספר the evidence, H2856 ואחתם and sealed H5749 ואעד and took H5707 עדים witnesses, H8254 ואשׁקל and weighed H3701 הכסף the money H3976 במאזנים׃ in the balances.

11 H3947 ואקח So I took H853 את H5612 ספר the evidence H4736 המקנה of the purchase, H853 את H2856 החתום that which was sealed H4687 המצוה to the law H2706 והחקים and custom, H853 ואת H1540 הגלוי׃ and that which was open:

12 H5414 ואתן And I gave H853 את H5612 הספר the evidence H4736 המקנה of the purchase H413 אל unto H1263 ברוך Baruch H1121 בן the son H5374 נריה of Neriah, H1121 בן the son H4271 מחסיה of Maaseiah, H5869 לעיני in the sight H2601 חנמאל of Hanameel H1730 דדי mine uncle's H5869 ולעיני and in the presence H5707 העדים of the witnesses H3789 הכתבים that subscribed H5612 בספר the book H4736 המקנה of the purchase, H5869 לעיני before H3605 כל all H3064 היהודים the Jews H3427 הישׁבים that sat H2691 בחצר in the court H4307 המטרה׃ of the prison.

13 H6680 ואצוה And I charged H853 את H1263 ברוך Baruch H5869 לעיניהם before H559 לאמר׃ them, saying,

14 H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts, H430 אלהי the God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel; H3947 לקוח Take H853 את H5612 הספרים evidences, H428 האלה these H853 את H5612 ספר evidence H4736 המקנה of the purchase, H2088 הזה this H853 ואת H2856 החתום both which is sealed, H853 ואת H5612 ספר evidence H1540 הגלוי which is open; H2088 הזה and this H5414 ונתתם and put H3627 בכלי vessel, H2789 חרשׂ them in an earthen H4616 למען that H5975 יעמדו they may continue H3117 ימים days. H7227 רבים׃ many

15 H3588 כי For H3541 כה thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts, H430 אלהי the God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel; H5750 עוד again H7069 יקנו shall be possessed H1004 בתים Houses H7704 ושׂדות and fields H3754 וכרמים and vineyards H776 בארץ land. H2063 הזאת׃ in this

16 H6419 ואתפלל I prayed H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה the LORD, H310 אחרי Now when H5414 תתי I had delivered H853 את H5612 ספר the evidence H4736 המקנה of the purchase H413 אל unto H1263 ברוך Baruch H1121 בן the son H5374 נריה of Neriah, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

17 H162 אהה Ah H136 אדני Lord H3068 יהוה H2009 הנה behold, H859 אתה thou H6213 עשׂית hast made H853 את H8064 השׁמים the heaven H853 ואת H776 הארץ and the earth H3581 בכחך power H1419 הגדול by thy great H2220 ובזרעך arm, H5186 הנטויה and stretched out H3808 לא there is nothing H6381 יפלא too hard H4480 ממך for H3605 כל H1697 דבר׃

18 H6213 עשׂה Thou showest H2617 חסד lovingkindness H505 לאלפים unto thousands, H7999 ומשׁלם and recompensest H5771 עון the iniquity H1 אבות of the fathers H413 אל into H2436 חיק the bosom H1121 בניהם of their children H310 אחריהם after H410 האל God, H1419 הגדול them: the Great, H1368 הגבור the Mighty H3068 יהוה the LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts, H8034 שׁמו׃ his name,

19 H1419 גדל Great H6098 העצה in counsel, H7227 ורב and mighty H5950 העליליה in work: H834 אשׁר for H5869 עיניך thine eyes H6491 פקחות open H5921 על upon H3605 כל all H1870 דרכי the ways H1121 בני of the sons H120 אדם of men: H5414 לתת to give H376 לאישׁ every one H1870 כדרכיו according to his ways, H6529 וכפרי and according to the fruit H4611 מעלליו׃ of his doings:

20 H834 אשׁר Which H7760 שׂמת hast set H226 אתות signs H4159 ומפתים and wonders H776 בארץ in the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H5704 עד unto H3117 היום day, H2088 הזה this H3478 ובישׂראל and in Israel, H120 ובאדם and among men; H6213 ותעשׂה and hast made H8034 לך שׁם thee a name, H3117 כיום day; H2088 הזה׃ as at this

21 H3318 ותצא And hast brought forth H853 את H5971 עמך thy people H853 את H3478 ישׂראל Israel H776 מארץ out of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt H226 באתות with signs, H4159 ובמופתים and with wonders, H3027 וביד hand, H2389 חזקה and with a strong H248 ובאזרוע arm, H5186 נטויה and with a stretched out H4172 ובמורא terror; H1419 גדול׃ and with great

22 H5414 ותתן And hast given H853 להם את H776 הארץ land, H2063 הזאת them this H834 אשׁר which H7650 נשׁבעת thou didst swear H1 לאבותם to their fathers H5414 לתת to give H776 להם ארץ them, a land H2100 זבת flowing H2461 חלב with milk H1706 ודבשׁ׃ and honey;

23 H935 ויבאו And they came H3423 וירשׁו in, and possessed H853 אתה H3808 ולא not H8085 שׁמעו it; but they obeyed H6963 בקולך thy voice, H8451 ובתרותך in thy law; H3808 לא neither H1980 הלכו walked H853 את H3605 כל of all H834 אשׁר that H6680 צויתה thou commandedst H6213 להם לעשׂות they have done H3808 לא nothing H6213 עשׂו them to do: H7122 ותקרא to come upon H853 אתם H853 את H3605 כל therefore thou hast caused all H7451 הרעה evil H2063 הזאת׃ this

24 H2009 הנה Behold H5550 הסללות the mounts, H935 באו they are come H5892 העיר unto the city H3920 ללכדה to take H5892 והעיר it; and the city H5414 נתנה is given H3027 ביד into the hand H3778 הכשׂדים of the Chaldeans, H3898 הנלחמים that fight H5921 עליה against H6440 מפני it, because H2719 החרב of the sword, H7458 והרעב and of the famine, H1698 והדבר and of the pestilence: H834 ואשׁר and what H1696 דברת thou hast spoken H1961 היה is come to pass; H2005 והנך H7200 ראה׃ thou seest

25 H859 ואתה And thou H559 אמרת hast said H413 אלי unto H136 אדני me, O Lord H3069 יהוה GOD, H7069 קנה Buy H7704 לך השׂדה thee the field H3701 בכסף for money, H5749 והעד and take H5707 עדים witnesses; H5892 והעיר for the city H5414 נתנה is given H3027 ביד into the hand H3778 הכשׂדים׃ of the Chaldeans.

26 H1961 ויהי Then came H1697 דבר the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD H413 אל unto H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

27 H2009 הנה Behold, H589 אני I H3068 יהוה the LORD, H430 אלהי the God H3605 כל of all H1320 בשׂר flesh: H4480 הממני for H6381 יפלא too hard H3605 כל is there any H1697 דבר׃ thing

28 H3651 לכן Therefore H3541 כה thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD; H2005 הנני H5414 נתן I will give H853 את H5892 העיר city H2063 הזאת this H3027 ביד into the hand H3778 הכשׂדים of the Chaldeans, H3027 וביד and into the hand H5019 נבוכדראצר of Nebuchadnezzar H4428 מלך king H894 בבל of Babylon, H3920 ולכדה׃ and he shall take

29 H935 ובאו shall come H3778 הכשׂדים And the Chaldeans, H3898 הנלחמים that fight H5921 על against H5892 העיר city, H2063 הזאת this H3341 והציתו and set H853 את H5892 העיר city, H2063 הזאת on this H784 באשׁ fire H8313 ושׂרפוה and burn H854 ואת H1004 הבתים it with the houses, H834 אשׁר whose H6999 קטרו they have offered incense H5921 על upon H1406 גגותיהם roofs H1168 לבעל unto Baal, H5258 והסכו and poured out H5262 נסכים drink offerings H430 לאלהים gods, H312 אחרים unto other H4616 למען to H3707 הכעסני׃ provoke me to anger.

30 H3588 כי For H1961 היו have H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H1121 ובני and the children H3063 יהודה of Judah H389 אך only H6213 עשׂים done H7451 הרע evil H5869 בעיני before H5271 מנערתיהם me from their youth: H3588 כי for H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H389 אך have only H3707 מכעסים H854 אתי H4639 במעשׂה with the work H3027 ידיהם of their hands, H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

31 H3588 כי H5921 על to me a provocation H639 אפי of mine anger H5921 ועל and of H2534 חמתי my fury H1961 היתה hath been H5892 לי העיר city H2063 הזאת this H4480 למן from H3117 היום the day H834 אשׁר that H1129 בנו they built H853 אותה H5704 ועד it even unto H3117 היום day; H2088 הזה this H5493 להסירה that I should remove H5921 מעל it from before H6440 פני׃ my face,

32 H5921 על Because H3605 כל of all H7451 רעת the evil H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H1121 ובני and of the children H3063 יהודה of Judah, H834 אשׁר which H6213 עשׂו they have done H3707 להכעסני to provoke me to anger, H1992 המה they, H4428 מלכיהם their kings, H8269 שׂריהם their princes, H3548 כהניהם their priests, H5030 ונביאיהם and their prophets, H376 ואישׁ and the men H3063 יהודה of Judah, H3427 וישׁבי and the inhabitants H3389 ירושׁלם׃ of Jerusalem.

33 H6437 ויפנו And they have turned H413 אלי unto H6203 ערף me the back, H3808 ולא and not H6440 פנים the face: H3925 ולמד though I taught H853 אתם H7925 השׁכם them, rising up early H3925 ולמד and teaching H369 ואינם yet they have not H8085 שׁמעים hearkened H3947 לקחת to receive H4148 מוסר׃ instruction.

34 H7760 וישׂימו But they set H8251 שׁקוציהם their abominations H1004 בבית in the house, H834 אשׁר which H7121 נקרא is called H8034 שׁמי my name, H5921 עליו by H2930 לטמאו׃ to defile

35 H1129 ויבנו And they built H853 את H1116 במות the high places H1168 הבעל of Baal, H834 אשׁר which H1516 בגיא in the valley H1121 בן of the son H2011 הנם of Hinnom, H5674 להעביר to pass through H853 את H1121 בניהם to cause their sons H853 ואת H1323 בנותיהם and their daughters H4432 למלך unto Molech; H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא them not, H6680 צויתים I commanded H3808 ולא neither H5927 עלתה came H5921 על it into H3820 לבי my mind, H6213 לעשׂות that they should do H8441 התועבה abomination, H2063 הזאת this H4616 למען to H2398 החטי to sin. H853 את H3063 יהודה׃ cause Judah

36 H6258 ועתה And now H3651 לכן therefore H3541 כה thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H430 אלהי the God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H413 אל concerning H5892 העיר city, H2063 הזאת this H834 אשׁר whereof H859 אתם ye H559 אמרים say, H5414 נתנה It shall be delivered H3027 ביד into the hand H4428 מלך of the king H894 בבל of Babylon H2719 בחרב by the sword, H7458 וברעב and by the famine, H1698 ובדבר׃ and by the pestilence;

37 H2005 הנני H6908 מקבצם I will gather H3605 מכל them out of all H776 הארצות countries, H834 אשׁר whither H5080 הדחתים I have driven H8033 שׁם whither H639 באפי them in mine anger, H2534 ובחמתי and in my fury, H7110 ובקצף wrath; H1419 גדול and in great H7725 והשׁבתים and I will bring them again H413 אל unto H4725 המקום place, H2088 הזה this H3427 והשׁבתים and I will cause them to dwell H983 לבטח׃ safely:

38 H1961 והיו And they shall be H5971 לי לעם my people, H589 ואני and I H1961 אהיה will be H430 להם לאלהים׃ their God:

39 H5414 ונתתי And I will give H3820 להם לב heart, H259 אחד them one H1870 ודרך way, H259 אחד and one H3372 ליראה that they may fear H853 אותי H3605 כל me forever, H3117 הימים me forever, H2896 לטוב for the good H1121 להם ולבניהם of them, and of their children H310 אחריהם׃ after

40 H3772 וכרתי And I will make H1285 להם ברית covenant H5769 עולם an everlasting H834 אשׁר with them, that H3808 לא I will not H7725 אשׁוב turn away H310 מאחריהם from H3190 להיטיבי H853 אותם H853 ואת H3374 יראתי my fear H5414 אתן but I will put H3824 בלבבם in their hearts, H1115 לבלתי that they shall not H5493 סור depart H5921 מעלי׃ from

41 H7797 ושׂשׂתי Yea, I will rejoice H5921 עליהם over H2895 להטיב H853 אותם H5193 ונטעתים and I will plant H776 בארץ land H2063 הזאת them in this H571 באמת assuredly H3605 בכל with my whole H3820 לבי heart H3605 ובכל and with my whole H5315 נפשׁי׃ soul.

42 H3588 כי For H3541 כה thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD; H834 כאשׁר Like as H935 הבאתי I have brought H413 אל upon H5971 העם people, H2088 הזה this H853 את H3605 כל all H7451 הרעה evil H1419 הגדולה great H2063 הזאת this H3651 כן so H595 אנכי will I H935 מביא bring H5921 עליהם upon H853 את H3605 כל them all H2896 הטובה the good H834 אשׁר that H595 אנכי I H1696 דבר have promised H5921 עליהם׃ have promised

43 H7069 ונקנה shall be bought H7704 השׂדה And fields H776 בארץ land, H2063 הזאת in this H834 אשׁר whereof H859 אתם ye H559 אמרים say, H8077 שׁממה desolate H1931 היא It H369 מאין without H120 אדם man H929 ובהמה or beast; H5414 נתנה it is given H3027 ביד into the hand H3778 הכשׂדים׃ of the Chaldeans.

44 H7704 שׂדות fields H3701 בכסף for money, H7069 יקנו Men shall buy H3789 וכתוב and subscribe H5612 בספר evidences, H2856 וחתום and seal H5749 והעד and take H5707 עדים witnesses H776 בארץ in the land H1144 בנימן of Benjamin, H5439 ובסביבי and in the places about H3389 ירושׁלם Jerusalem, H5892 ובערי and in the cities H3063 יהודה of Judah, H5892 ובערי and in the cities H2022 ההר of the mountains, H5892 ובערי and in the cities H8219 השׁפלה of the valley, H5892 ובערי and in the cities H5045 הנגב of the south: H3588 כי for H7725 אשׁיב to return, H853 את H7622 שׁבותם I will cause their captivity H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.
