1 Kings 13:22-34

  22 H7725 But camest back [H8799]   H398 , and hast eaten [H8799]   H3899 bread H8354 and drunk [H8799]   H4325 water H4725 in the place H1696 , of the which the LORD did say [H8765]   H398 to thee, Eat [H8799]   H3899 no bread H8354 , and drink [H8799]   H4325 no water H5038 ; thy carcase H935 shall not come [H8799]   H6913 unto the sepulchre H1 of thy fathers.
  23 H310 And it came to pass, after H398 he had eaten [H8800]   H3899 bread H310 , and after H8354 he had drunk [H8800]   H2280 , that he saddled [H8799]   H2543 for him the ass H5030 , to wit, for the prophet H7725 whom he had brought back [H8689]  .
  24 H3212 And when he was gone [H8799]   H738 , a lion H4672 met [H8799]   H1870 him by the way H4191 , and slew [H8686]   H5038 him: and his carcase H7993 was cast [H8716]   H1870 in the way H2543 , and the ass H5975 stood [H8802]   H681 by H738 it, the lion H5975 also stood [H8802]   H5038 by the carcase.
  25 H582 And, behold, men H5674 passed by [H8802]   H7200 , and saw [H8799]   H5038 the carcase H7993 cast [H8716]   H1870 in the way H738 , and the lion H5975 standing [H8802]   H681 by H5038 the carcase H935 : and they came [H8799]   H1696 and told [H8762]   H5892 it in the city H2205 where the old H5030 prophet H3427 dwelt [H8802]  .
  26 H5030 And when the prophet H7725 that brought him back [H8689]   H1870 from the way H8085 heard [H8799]   H559 thereof, he said [H8799]   H376 , It is the man H430 of God H4784 , who was disobedient [H8804]   H6310 unto the word H3068 of the LORD H3068 : therefore the LORD H5414 hath delivered [H8799]   H738 him unto the lion H7665 , which hath torn [H8799]   H4191 him, and slain [H8686]   H1697 him, according to the word H3068 of the LORD H1696 , which he spake [H8765]   unto him.
  27 H1696 And he spake [H8762]   H1121 to his sons H559 , saying [H8800]   H2280 , Saddle [H8798]   H2543 me the ass H2280 . And they saddled [H8799]   him .
  28 H3212 And he went [H8799]   H4672 and found [H8799]   H5038 his carcase H7993 cast [H8716]   H1870 in the way H2543 , and the ass H738 and the lion H5975 standing [H8802]   H681 by H5038 the carcase H738 : the lion H398 had not eaten [H8804]   H5038 the carcase H7665 , nor torn [H8804]   H2543 the ass.
  29 H5030 And the prophet H5375 took up [H8799]   H5038 the carcase H376 of the man H430 of God H3240 , and laid [H8686]   H2543 it upon the ass H7725 , and brought it back [H8686]   H2205 : and the old H5030 prophet H935 came [H8799]   H5892 to the city H5594 , to mourn [H8800]   H6912 and to bury [H8800]   him.
  30 H3240 And he laid [H8686]   H5038 his carcase H6913 in his own grave H5594 ; and they mourned [H8799]   H1945 over him, saying, Alas H251 , my brother!
  31 H310 And it came to pass, after H6912 he had buried [H8800]   H559 him, that he spake [H8799]   H1121 to his sons H559 , saying [H8800]   H4191 , When I am dead [H8800]   H6912 , then bury [H8804]   H6913 me in the sepulchre H376 wherein the man H430 of God H6912 is buried [H8803]   H3240 ; lay [H8685]   H6106 my bones H681 beside H6106 his bones:
  32 H1697 For the saying H7121 which he cried [H8804]   H1697 by the word H3068 of the LORD H4196 against the altar H1008 in Bethel H1004 , and against all the houses H1116 of the high places H5892 which are in the cities H8111 of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.
  33 H310 After H1697 this thing H3379 Jeroboam H7725 returned [H8804]   H7451 not from his evil H1870 way H6213 , but made [H8799]   H7725 again [H8799]   H7098 of the lowest H5971 of the people H3548 priests H1116 of the high places H2655 : whosoever would H4390 , he consecrated [H8762]   H3027   H3548 him, and he became one of the priests H1116 of the high places.
  34 H1697 And this thing H2403 became sin H1004 unto the house H3379 of Jeroboam H3582 , even to cut it off [H8687]   H8045 , and to destroy [H8687]   H6440 it from off the face H127 of the earth.

  23 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H310 אחרי after H398 אכלו he had eaten H3899 לחם bread, H310 ואחרי and after H8354 שׁתותו he had drunk, H2280 ויחבשׁ that he saddled H2543 לו החמור for him the ass, H5030 לנביא for the prophet H834 אשׁר whom H7725 השׁיבו׃ he had brought back.
  24 H1980 וילך And when he was gone, H4672 וימצאהו met H738 אריה a lion H1870 בדרך him by the way, H4191 וימיתהו and slew H1961 ותהי was H5038 נבלתו him: and his carcass H7993 משׁלכת cast H1870 בדרך in the way, H2543 והחמור and the ass H5975 עמד stood H681 אצלה by H738 והאריה it, the lion H5975 עמד also stood H681 אצל by H5038 הנבלה׃ the carcass.
  25 H2009 והנה And, behold, H376 אנשׁים men H5674 עברים passed by, H7200 ויראו and saw H853 את   H5038 הנבלה the carcass H7993 משׁלכת cast H1870 בדרך in the way, H853 ואת   H738 האריה and the lion H5975 עמד standing H681 אצל by H5038 הנבלה the carcass: H935 ויבאו and they came H1696 וידברו and told H5892 בעיר in the city H834 אשׁר where H5030 הנביא prophet H2205 הזקן the old H3427 ישׁב׃ dwelt.
  26 H8085 וישׁמע heard H5030 הנביא And when the prophet H834 אשׁר that H7725 השׁיבו brought him back H4480 מן from H1870 הדרך the way H559 ויאמר he said, H376 אישׁ the man H430 האלהים of God, H1931 הוא It H834 אשׁר who H4784 מרה was disobedient H853 את   H6310 פי unto the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD: H5414 ויתנהו hath delivered H3068 יהוה therefore the LORD H738 לאריה him unto the lion, H7665 וישׁברהו which hath torn H4191 וימתהו him, and slain H1697 כדבר him, according to the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H834 אשׁר which H1696 דבר׃ he spoke
  27 H1696 וידבר And he spoke H413 אל to H1121 בניו his sons, H559 לאמר saying, H2280 חבשׁו Saddle H853 לי את   H2543 החמור me the ass. H2280 ויחבשׁו׃ And they saddled
  28 H1980 וילך And he went H4672 וימצא and found H853 את   H5038 נבלתו his carcass H7993 משׁלכת cast H1870 בדרך in the way, H2543 וחמור and the ass H738 והאריה and the lion H5975 עמדים standing H681 אצל by H5038 הנבלה the carcass: H3808 לא had not H398 אכל eaten H738 האריה the lion H853 את   H5038 הנבלה the carcass, H3808 ולא nor H7665 שׁבר torn H853 את   H2543 החמור׃ the ass.
  29 H5375 וישׂא took up H5030 הנביא And the prophet H853 את   H5038 נבלת the carcass H376 אישׁ of the man H430 האלהים of God, H3240 וינחהו   H413 אל it upon H2543 החמור the ass, H7725 וישׁיבהו and brought it back: H935 ויבא came H413 אל to H5892 עיר the city, H5030 הנביא prophet H2205 הזקן and the old H5594 לספד to mourn H6912 ולקברו׃ and to bury
  30 H3240 וינח   H853 את   H5038 נבלתו his carcass H6913 בקברו in his own grave; H5594 ויספדו and they mourned H5921 עליו over H1945 הוי him, Alas, H251 אחי׃ my brother!
  31 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H310 אחרי after H6912 קברו he had buried H853 אתו   H559 ויאמר him, that he spoke H413 אל to H1121 בניו his sons, H559 לאמר saying, H4191 במותי When I am dead, H6912 וקברתם then bury H853 אתי   H6913 בקבר me in the sepulcher H834 אשׁר wherein H376 אישׁ the man H430 האלהים of God H6912 קבור buried; H681 בו אצל beside H6106 עצמתיו my bones H3240 הניחו   H853 את   H6106 עצמתי׃ his bones:
  32 H3588 כי For H1961 היה shall surely come to pass. H1961 יהיה shall surely come to pass. H1697 הדבר the saying H834 אשׁר which H7121 קרא he cried H1697 בדבר by the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD H5921 על against H4196 המזבח the altar H834 אשׁר which H1008 בבית אל in Bethel, H5921 ועל and against H3605 כל all H1004 בתי the houses H1116 הבמות of the high places H834 אשׁר   H5892 בערי in the cities H8111 שׁמרון׃ of Samaria,
  33 H310 אחר After H1697 הדבר thing H2088 הזה this H3808 לא not H7725 שׁב returned H3379 ירבעם Jeroboam H1870 מדרכו   H7451 הרעה   H7725 וישׁב again H6213 ויעשׂ but made H7098 מקצות of the lowest H5971 העם of the people H3548 כהני priests H1116 במות of the high places: H2655 החפץ whosoever would, H4390 ימלא   H853 את   H3027 ידו   H1961 ויהי him, and he became H3548 כהני of the priests H1116 במות׃ of the high places.
  34 H1961 ויהי became H1697 בדבר thing H2088 הזה And this H2403 לחטאת sin H1004 בית unto the house H3379 ירבעם of Jeroboam, H3582 ולהכחיד even to cut off, H8045 ולהשׁמיד and to destroy H5921 מעל from off H6440 פני the face H127 האדמה׃ of the earth.
