  25 H7760 Let [H8799]   H113 not my lord H3820 , I pray thee, regard H376 this man H1100 of Belial H5037 , even Nabal H8034 : for as his name H5037 is, so is he; Nabal H8034 is his name H5039 , and folly H519 is with him: but I thine handmaid H7200 saw [H8804]   H5288 not the young men H113 of my lord H7971 , whom thou didst send [H8804]  .
  26 H113 Now therefore, my lord H3068 , as the LORD H2416 liveth H5315 , and as thy soul H2416 liveth H3068 , seeing the LORD H4513 hath withholden [H8804]   H935 thee from coming [H8800]   H1818 to shed blood H3467 , and from avenging [H8687]   H3027 thyself with thine own hand H341 , now let thine enemies [H8802]   H1245 , and they that seek [H8764]   H7451 evil H113 to my lord H5037 , be as Nabal.
  27 H1293 And now this blessing H8198 which thine handmaid H935 hath brought [H8689]   H113 unto my lord H5414 , let it even be given [H8738]   H5288 unto the young men H1980 that follow [H8693]   H7272   H113 my lord.
  28 H5375 I pray thee, forgive [H8798]   H6588 the trespass H519 of thine handmaid H3068 : for the LORD H6213 will certainly [H8800]   H6213 make [H8799]   H113 my lord H539 a sure [H8737]   H1004 house H113 ; because my lord H3898 fighteth [H8737]   H4421 the battles H3068 of the LORD H7451 , and evil H4672 hath not been found [H8735]   H3117 in thee all thy days.
  29 H120 Yet a man H6965 is risen [H8799]   H7291 to pursue [H8800]   H1245 thee, and to seek [H8763]   H5315 thy soul H5315 : but the soul H113 of my lord H6887 shall be bound [H8803]   H6872 in the bundle H2416 of life H3068 with the LORD H430 thy God H5315 ; and the souls H341 of thine enemies [H8802]   H7049 , them shall he sling out [H8762]   H8432 , as out of the middle H3709   H7050 of a sling.
  30 H3068 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD H6213 shall have done [H8799]   H113 to my lord H2896 according to all the good H1696 that he hath spoken [H8765]   H6680 concerning thee, and shall have appointed [H8765]   H5057 thee ruler H3478 over Israel;
  31 H6330 That this shall be no grief H4383 unto thee, nor offence H3820 of heart H113 unto my lord H8210 , either that thou hast shed [H8800]   H1818 blood H2600 causeless H113 , or that my lord H3467 hath avenged [H8687]   H3068 himself: but when the LORD H3190 shall have dealt well [H8689]   H113 with my lord H2142 , then remember [H8804]   H519 thine handmaid.
  32 H1732 And David H559 said [H8799]   H26 to Abigail H1288 , Blessed [H8803]   H3068 be the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H7971 , which sent [H8804]   H3117 thee this day H7125 to meet [H8800]   me:
  33 H1288 And blessed [H8803]   H2940 be thy advice H1288 , and blessed [H8803]   H3607 be thou, which hast kept [H8804]   H3117 me this day H935 from coming [H8800]   H1818 to shed blood H3467 , and from avenging [H8687]   H3027 myself with mine own hand.
  34 H199 For in very deed H3068 , as the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H2416 liveth H4513 , which hath kept me back [H8804]   H7489 from hurting [H8687]   H3884 thee, except H4116 thou hadst hasted [H8765]   H935 and come [H8799]   H7125 to meet [H8800]   H3498 me, surely there had not been left [H8738]   H5037 unto Nabal H1242 by the morning H216 light H8366 any that pisseth [H8688]   H7023 against the wall.
  35 H1732 So David H3947 received [H8799]   H3027 of her hand H935 that which she had brought [H8689]   H559 him, and said [H8804]   H5927 unto her, Go up [H8798]   H7965 in peace H1004 to thine house H7200 ; see [H8798]   H8085 , I have hearkened [H8804]   H6963 to thy voice H5375 , and have accepted [H8799]   H6440 thy person.
  36 H26 And Abigail H935 came [H8799]   H5037 to Nabal H4960 ; and, behold, he held a feast H1004 in his house H4960 , like the feast H4428 of a king H5037 ; and Nabal's H3820 heart H2896 was merry H3966 within him, for he was very H7910 drunken H5046 : wherefore she told [H8689]   H1697 him nothing H6996 , less H1419 or more H1242 , until the morning H216 light.
  37 H1242 But it came to pass in the morning H3196 , when the wine H3318 was gone out [H8800]   H5037 of Nabal H802 , and his wife H5046 had told [H8686]   H1697 him these things H3820 , that his heart H4191 died [H8799]   H7130 within H68 him, and he became as a stone.
  38 H6235 And it came to pass about ten H3117 days H3068 after, that the LORD H5062 smote [H8799]   H5037 Nabal H4191 , that he died [H8799]  .
  39 H1732 And when David H8085 heard [H8799]   H5037 that Nabal H4191 was dead [H8804]   H559 , he said [H8799]   H1288 , Blessed [H8803]   H3068 be the LORD H7378 , that hath pleaded [H8804]   H7379 the cause H2781 of my reproach H3027 from the hand H5037 of Nabal H2820 , and hath kept [H8804]   H5650 his servant H7451 from evil H3068 : for the LORD H7725 hath returned [H8689]   H7451 the wickedness H5037 of Nabal H7218 upon his own head H1732 . And David H7971 sent [H8799]   H1696 and communed [H8762]   H26 with Abigail H3947 , to take [H8800]   H802 her to him to wife.
  40 H5650 And when the servants H1732 of David H935 were come [H8799]   H26 to Abigail H3760 to Carmel H1696 , they spake [H8762]   H559 unto her, saying [H8800]   H1732 , David H7971 sent [H8804]   H3947 us unto thee, to take [H8800]   H802 thee to him to wife.
  41 H6965 And she arose [H8799]   H7812 , and bowed [H8691]   H639 herself on her face H776 to the earth H559 , and said [H8799]   H519 , Behold, let thine handmaid H8198 be a servant H7364 to wash [H8800]   H7272 the feet H5650 of the servants H113 of my lord.
  42 H26 And Abigail H4116 hasted [H8762]   H6965 , and arose [H8799]   H7392 , and rode [H8799]   H2543 upon an ass H2568 , with five H5291 damsels H1980 of hers that went [H8802]   H7272 after H3212 her; and she went [H8799]   H310 after H4397 the messengers H1732 of David H802 , and became his wife.
  43 H1732 David H3947 also took [H8804]   H293 Ahinoam H3157 of Jezreel H8147 ; and they were also both H802 of them his wives.
  44 H7586 But Saul H5414 had given [H8804]   H4324 Michal H1323 his daughter H1732 , David's H802 wife H6406 , to Phalti H1121 the son H3919 of Laish H1554 , which was of Gallim.

  25 H408 אל Let not H4994 נא I pray thee, H7760 ישׂים   H113 אדני my lord, H853 את   H3820 לבו   H413 אל   H376 אישׁ man H1100 הבליעל of Belial, H2088 הזה this H5921 על   H5037 נבל Nabal: H3588 כי for H8034 כשׁמו as his name H3651 כן so H1931 הוא he; H5037 נבל Nabal H8034 שׁמו his name, H5039 ונבלה and folly H5973 עמו with H589 ואני him: but I H519 אמתך thine handmaid H3808 לא not H7200 ראיתי saw H853 את   H5288 נערי the young men H113 אדני of my lord, H834 אשׁר whom H7971 שׁלחת׃ thou didst send.
  26 H6258 ועתה Now H113 אדני therefore, my lord, H2416 חי liveth, H3068 יהוה the LORD H2416 וחי liveth, H5315 נפשׁך and thy soul H834 אשׁר seeing H4513 מנעך hath withheld H3068 יהוה the LORD H935 מבוא thee from coming H1818 בדמים to blood, H3467 והושׁע and from avenging H3027 ידך thyself with thine own hand, H6258 לך ועתה now H1961 יהיו be H5037 כנבל as Nabal. H341 איביך let thine enemies, H1245 והמבקשׁים and they that seek H413 אל to H113 אדני my lord, H7451 רעה׃ evil
  27 H6258 ועתה And now H1293 הברכה blessing H2063 הזאת this H834 אשׁר which H935 הביא hath brought H8198 שׁפחתך thine handmaid H113 לאדני unto my lord, H5414 ונתנה let it even be given H5288 לנערים unto the young men H1980 המתהלכים that follow H7272 ברגלי that follow H113 אדני׃ my lord.
  28 H5375 שׂא forgive H4994 נא I pray thee, H6588 לפשׁע the trespass H519 אמתך of thine handmaid: H3588 כי for H6213 עשׂה will certainly make H6213 יעשׂה will certainly make H3068 יהוה the LORD H113 לאדני my lord H1004 בית house; H539 נאמן a sure H3588 כי because H4421 מלחמות the battles H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H113 אדני my lord H3898 נלחם fighteth H7451 ורעה and evil H3808 לא hath not H4672 תמצא been found H3117 בך מימיך׃ in thee thy days.
  29 H6965 ויקם is risen H120 אדם Yet a man H7291 לרדפך to pursue H1245 ולבקשׁ thee, and to seek H853 את   H5315 נפשׁך thy soul: H1961 והיתה shall be H5315 נפשׁ but the soul H113 אדני of my lord H6887 צרורה bound H6872 בצרור in the bundle H2416 החיים of life H854 את with H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God; H853 ואת   H5315 נפשׁ and the souls H341 איביך of thine enemies, H7049 יקלענה them shall he sling out, H8432 בתוך of the middle H3709 כף   H7050 הקלע׃ of a sling.
  30 H1961 והיה And it shall come to pass, H3588 כי when H6213 יעשׂה shall have done H3068 יהוה the LORD H113 לאדני to my lord H3605 ככל according to all H834 אשׁר that H1696 דבר he hath spoken H853 את   H2896 הטובה the good H5921 עליך concerning H6680 וצוך thee, and shall have appointed H5057 לנגיד thee ruler H5921 על over H3478 ישׂראל׃ Israel;
  31 H3808 ולא no H1961 תהיה shall be H2063 זאת That this H6330 לך לפוקה grief H4383 ולמכשׁול unto thee, nor offense H3820 לב of heart H113 לאדני unto my lord, H8210 ולשׁפך either that thou hast shed H1818 דם blood H2600 חנם causeless, H3467 ולהושׁיע hath avenged H113 אדני or that my lord H3190 לו והיטב shall have dealt well H3068 יהוה himself: but when the LORD H113 לאדני with my lord, H2142 וזכרת then remember H853 את   H519 אמתך׃ thine handmaid.
  32 H559 ויאמר said H1732 דוד And David H26 לאביגל to Abigail, H1288 ברוך Blessed H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H834 אשׁר which H7971 שׁלחך sent H3117 היום day H2088 הזה thee this H7122 לקראתי׃  
  33 H1288 וברוך And blessed H2940 טעמך thy advice, H1288 וברוכה and blessed H859 את thou, H834 אשׁר which H3607 כלתני hast kept H3117 היום day H2088 הזה me this H935 מבוא from coming H1818 בדמים to blood, H3467 והשׁע and from avenging H3027 ידי׃ myself with mine own hand.
  34 H199 ואולם For in very deed, H2416 חי liveth, H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H834 אשׁר which H4513 מנעני hath kept me back H7489 מהרע from hurting H853 אתך   H3588 כי thee, except H3884 לולי thee, except H4116 מהרת thou hadst hasted H935 ותבאתי and come H7122 לקראתי   H3588 כי me, surely H518 אם there had not H3498 נותר been left H5037 לנבל unto Nabal H5704 עד by H216 אור light H1242 הבקר the morning H8366 משׁתין any that pisseth H7023 בקיר׃ against the wall.
  35 H3947 ויקח received H1732 דוד So David H3027 מידה of her hand H853 את   H834 אשׁר which H935 הביאה she had brought H559 לו ולה אמר him, and said H5927 עלי unto her, Go up H7965 לשׁלום in peace H1004 לביתך to thine house; H7200 ראי see, H8085 שׁמעתי I have hearkened H6963 בקולך to thy voice, H5375 ואשׂא and have accepted H6440 פניך׃ thy person.
  36 H935 ותבא came H26 אביגיל And Abigail H413 אל to H5037 נבל Nabal; H2009 והנה and, behold, H4960 לו משׁתה he held a feast H1004 בביתו in his house, H4960 כמשׁתה like the feast H4428 המלך of a king; H3820 ולב heart H5037 נבל and Nabal's H2896 טוב merry H5921 עליו within H1931 והוא him, for he H7910 שׁכר drunken: H5704 עד very H3966 מאד very H3808 ולא him nothing, H5046 הגידה wherefore she told H1697 לו דבר him nothing, H6996 קטן less H1419 וגדול or more, H5704 עד until H216 אור light. H1242 הבקר׃ the morning
  37 H1961 ויהי But it came to pass H1242 בבקר in the morning, H3318 בצאת was gone out H3196 היין when the wine H5037 מנבל   H5046 ותגד had told H802 לו אשׁתו and his wife H853 את   H1697 הדברים things, H428 האלה him these H4191 וימת died H3820 לבו that his heart H7130 בקרבו within H1931 והוא him, and he H1961 היה became H68 לאבן׃ a stone.
  38 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H6235 כעשׂרת about ten H3117 הימים days H5062 ויגף smote H3068 יהוה that the LORD H853 את   H5037 נבל Nabal, H4191 וימת׃ that he died.
  39 H8085 וישׁמע heard H1732 דוד And when David H3588 כי that H4191 מת was dead, H5037 נבל Nabal H559 ויאמר he said, H1288 ברוך Blessed H3068 יהוה the LORD, H834 אשׁר that H7378 רב hath pleaded H853 את   H7379 ריב the cause H2781 חרפתי of my reproach H3027 מיד from the hand H5037 נבל of Nabal, H853 ואת   H5650 עבדו his servant H2820 חשׂך and hath kept H7451 מרעה from evil: H853 ואת   H7451 רעת the wickedness H5037 נבל of Nabal H7725 השׁיב hath returned H3068 יהוה for the LORD H7218 בראשׁו upon his own head. H7971 וישׁלח sent H1732 דוד And David H1696 וידבר and communed H26 באביגיל with Abigail, H3947 לקחתה to take H802 לו לאשׁה׃ her to him to wife.
  40 H935 ויבאו were come H5650 עבדי And when the servants H1732 דוד of David H413 אל to H26 אביגיל Abigail H3760 הכרמלה to Carmel, H1696 וידברו they spoke H413 אליה unto H559 לאמר her, saying, H1732 דוד David H7971 שׁלחנו sent H413 אליך us unto H3947 לקחתך thee, to take H802 לו לאשׁה׃ thee to him to wife.
  41 H6965 ותקם And she arose, H7812 ותשׁתחו and bowed herself H639 אפים on face H776 ארצה to the earth, H559 ותאמר and said, H2009 הנה Behold, H519 אמתך thine handmaid H8198 לשׁפחה a servant H7364 לרחץ to wash H7272 רגלי the feet H5650 עבדי of the servants H113 אדני׃ of my lord.
  42 H4116 ותמהר hasted, H6965 ותקם and arose, H26 אביגיל And Abigail H7392 ותרכב and rode H5921 על upon H2543 החמור an ass, H2568 וחמשׁ with five H5291 נערתיה damsels H1980 ההלכות of hers that went H7272 לרגלה after H1980 ותלך her; and she went H310 אחרי after H4397 מלאכי the messengers H1732 דוד of David, H1961 ותהי and became H802 לו לאשׁה׃ his wife.
  43 H853 ואת   H293 אחינעם Ahinoam H3947 לקח also took H1732 דוד David H3157 מיזרעאל   H1961 ותהיין and they were H1571 גם also H8147 שׁתיהן both H802 לו לנשׁים׃ of them his wives.
  44 H7586 ושׁאול But Saul H5414 נתן had given H853 את   H4324 מיכל Michal H1323 בתו his daughter, H802 אשׁת wife, H1732 דוד David's H6406 לפלטי to Phalti H1121 בן the son H3919 לישׁ of Laish, H834 אשׁר which H1554 מגלים׃
