  2 H6213 And he did [H8799]   H3477 that which was right H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H1732 , according to all that David H1 his father H6213 had done [H8804]  .
  3 H7223 He in the first H8141 year H4427 of his reign [H8800]   H7223 , in the first H2320 month H6605 , opened [H8804]   H1817 the doors H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD H2388 , and repaired [H8762]   them.
  4 H935 And he brought in [H8686]   H3548 the priests H3881 and the Levites H622 , and gathered them together [H8799]   H4217 into the east H7339 street,
  5 H559 And said [H8799]   H8085 unto them, Hear [H8798]   H3881 me, ye Levites H6942 , sanctify [H8690]   H6942 now yourselves, and sanctify [H8761]   H1004 the house H3068 of the LORD H430 God H1 of your fathers H3318 , and carry forth [H8685]   H5079 the filthiness H6944 out of the holy place .
  6 H1 For our fathers H4603 have trespassed [H8804]   H6213 , and done [H8804]   H7451 that which was evil H5869 in the eyes H3068 of the LORD H430 our God H5800 , and have forsaken [H8799]   H5437 him, and have turned away [H8686]   H6440 their faces H4908 from the habitation H3068 of the LORD H5414 , and turned [H8799]   H6203 their backs.
  7 H5462 Also they have shut up [H8804]   H1817 the doors H197 of the porch H3518 , and put out [H8762]   H5216 the lamps H6999 , and have not burned [H8689]   H7004 incense H5927 nor offered [H8689]   H5930 burnt offerings H6944 in the holy H430 place unto the God H3478 of Israel.
  8 H7110 Wherefore the wrath H3068 of the LORD H3063 was upon Judah H3389 and Jerusalem H5414 , and he hath delivered [H8799]   H2189 them to trouble [H8675]   H2113   H8047 , to astonishment H8322 , and to hissing H7200 , as ye see [H8802]   H5869 with your eyes.
  9 H1 For, lo, our fathers H5307 have fallen [H8804]   H2719 by the sword H1121 , and our sons H1323 and our daughters H802 and our wives H7628 are in captivity for this.
  10 H3824 Now it is in mine heart H3772 to make [H8800]   H1285 a covenant H3068 with the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H2740 , that his fierce H639 wrath H7725 may turn away [H8799]   from us.
  11 H1121 My sons H7952 , be not now negligent [H8735]   H3068 : for the LORD H977 hath chosen [H8804]   H5975 you to stand [H8800]   H6440 before H8334 him, to serve [H8763]   H8334 him, and that ye should minister [H8764]   H6999 unto him, and burn incense [H8688]  .
  12 H3881 Then the Levites H6965 arose [H8799]   H4287 , Mahath H1121 the son H6022 of Amasai H3100 , and Joel H1121 the son H5838 of Azariah H1121 , of the sons H6956 of the Kohathites H1121 : and of the sons H4847 of Merari H7027 , Kish H1121 the son H5660 of Abdi H5838 , and Azariah H1121 the son H3094 of Jehalelel H1649 : and of the Gershonites H3098 ; Joah H1121 the son H2155 of Zimmah H5731 , and Eden H1121 the son H3098 of Joah:
  13 H1121 And of the sons H469 of Elizaphan H8113 ; Shimri H3273 , and Jeiel H1121 : and of the sons H623 of Asaph H2148 ; Zechariah H4983 , and Mattaniah:
  14 H1121 And of the sons H1968 of Heman H3171 ; Jehiel H8096 , and Shimei H1121 : and of the sons H3038 of Jeduthun H8098 ; Shemaiah H5816 , and Uzziel.
  15 H622 And they gathered [H8799]   H251 their brethren H6942 , and sanctified [H8691]   H935 themselves, and came [H8799]   H4687 , according to the commandment H4428 of the king H1697 , by the words H3068 of the LORD H2891 , to cleanse [H8763]   H1004 the house H3068 of the LORD.
  16 H3548 And the priests H935 went [H8799]   H6441 into the inner part H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD H2891 , to cleanse [H8763]   H3318 it, and brought out [H8686]   H2932 all the uncleanness H4672 that they found [H8804]   H1964 in the temple H3068 of the LORD H2691 into the court H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD H3881 . And the Levites H6901 took [H8762]   H3318 it, to carry it out [H8687]   H2351 abroad H5158 into the brook H6939 Kidron.
  17 H2490 Now they began [H8686]   H259 on the first H7223 day of the first H2320 month H6942 to sanctify [H8763]   H8083 , and on the eighth H3117 day H2320 of the month H935 came [H8804]   H197 they to the porch H3068 of the LORD H6942 : so they sanctified [H8762]   H1004 the house H3068 of the LORD H8083 in eight H3117 days H8337 ; and in the sixteenth H6240   H7223 day of the first H2320 month H3615 they made an end [H8765]  .
  18 H935 Then they went [H8799]   H6441 in H2396 to Hezekiah H4428 the king H559 , and said [H8799]   H2891 , We have cleansed [H8765]   H1004 all the house H3068 of the LORD H4196 , and the altar H5930 of burnt offering H3627 , with all the vessels H4635 thereof, and the shewbread H7979 table H3627 , with all the vessels thereof.
  19 H3627 Moreover all the vessels H4428 , which king H271 Ahaz H4438 in his reign H2186 did cast away [H8689]   H4604 in his transgression H3559 , have we prepared [H8689]   H6942 and sanctified [H8689]   H6440 , and, behold, they are before H4196 the altar H3068 of the LORD.
  20 H3169 Then Hezekiah H4428 the king H7925 rose early [H8686]   H622 , and gathered [H8799]   H8269 the rulers H5892 of the city H5927 , and went up [H8799]   H1004 to the house H3068 of the LORD.
  21 H935 And they brought [H8686]   H7651 seven H6499 bullocks H7651 , and seven H352 rams H7651 , and seven H3532 lambs H7651 , and seven H6842 he H5795 goats H2403 , for a sin offering H4467 for the kingdom H4720 , and for the sanctuary H3063 , and for Judah H559 . And he commanded [H8799]   H3548 the priests H1121 the sons H175 of Aaron H5927 to offer [H8687]   H4196 them on the altar H3068 of the LORD.
  22 H7819 So they killed [H8799]   H1241 the bullocks H3548 , and the priests H6901 received [H8762]   H1818 the blood H2236 , and sprinkled [H8799]   H4196 it on the altar H7819 : likewise, when they had killed [H8799]   H352 the rams H2236 , they sprinkled [H8799]   H1818 the blood H4196 upon the altar H7819 : they killed [H8799]   H3532 also the lambs H2236 , and they sprinkled [H8799]   H1818 the blood H4196 upon the altar.
  23 H5066 And they brought forth [H8686]   H8163 the he goats H2403 for the sin offering H6440 before H4428 the king H6951 and the congregation H5564 ; and they laid [H8799]   H3027 their hands upon them:
  24 H3548 And the priests H7819 killed [H8799]   H2398 them, and they made reconciliation [H8762]   H1818 with their blood H4196 upon the altar H3722 , to make an atonement [H8763]   H3478 for all Israel H4428 : for the king H559 commanded [H8804]   H5930 that the burnt offering H2403 and the sin offering H3478 should be made for all Israel.
  25 H5975 And he set [H8686]   H3881 the Levites H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD H4700 with cymbals H5035 , with psalteries H3658 , and with harps H4687 , according to the commandment H1732 of David H1410 , and of Gad H4428 the king's H2374 seer H5416 , and Nathan H5030 the prophet H4687 : for so was the commandment H3027 of H3068 the LORD H3027 by H5030 his prophets.
  26 H3881 And the Levites H5975 stood [H8799]   H3627 with the instruments H1732 of David H3548 , and the priests H2689 with the trumpets.
  27 H2396 And Hezekiah H559 commanded [H8799]   H5927 to offer [H8687]   H5930 the burnt offering H4196 upon the altar H6256 . And when H5930 the burnt offering H2490 began [H8689]   H7892 , the song H3068 of the LORD H2490 began [H8689]   H2689 also with the trumpets H3627 , and with the instruments H3027 ordained by H1732 David H4428 king H3478 of Israel.
  28 H6951 And all the congregation H7812 worshipped [H8693]   H7892 , and the singers H7891 sang [H8789]   H2689 , and the trumpeters H2690 sounded [H8688]   [H8675]   H2690   [H8764]   H5930 : and all this continued until the burnt offering H3615 was finished [H8800]  .
  29 H3615 And when they had made an end [H8763]   H5927 of offering [H8687]   H4428 , the king H4672 and all that were present [H8737]   H3766 with him bowed [H8804]   H7812 themselves, and worshipped [H8691]  .
  30 H3169 Moreover Hezekiah H4428 the king H8269 and the princes H559 commanded [H8799]   H3881 the Levites H1984 to sing praise [H8763]   H3068 unto the LORD H1697 with the words H1732 of David H623 , and of Asaph H2374 the seer H1984 . And they sang praises [H8762]   H8057 with gladness H6915 , and they bowed their heads [H8799]   H7812 and worshipped [H8691]  .
  31 H3169 Then Hezekiah H6030 answered [H8799]   H559 and said [H8799]   H4390 , Now ye have consecrated [H8765]   H3027   H3068 yourselves unto the LORD H5066 , come near [H8798]   H935 and bring [H8685]   H2077 sacrifices H8426 and thank offerings H1004 into the house H3068 of the LORD H6951 . And the congregation H935 brought in [H8686]   H2077 sacrifices H8426 and thank offerings H5081 ; and as many as were of a free H3820 heart H5930 burnt offerings.
  32 H4557 And the number H5930 of the burnt offerings H6951 , which the congregation H935 brought [H8689]   H7657 , was threescore and ten H1241 bullocks H3967 , an hundred H352 rams H3967 , and two hundred H3532 lambs H5930 : all these were for a burnt offering H3068 to the LORD.
  33 H6944 And the consecrated things H8337 were six H3967 hundred H1241 oxen H7969 and three H505 thousand H6629 sheep.
  34 H3548 But the priests H4592 were too few H3201 , so that they could [H8804]   H6584 not flay [H8687]   H5930 all the burnt offerings H251 : wherefore their brethren H3881 the Levites H2388 did help [H8762]   H4399 them, till the work H3615 was ended [H8800]   H3548 , and until the other priests H6942 had sanctified [H8691]   H3881 themselves: for the Levites H3477 were more upright H3824 in heart H6942 to sanctify [H8692]   H3548 themselves than the priests.
  35 H5930 And also the burnt offerings H7230 were in abundance H2459 , with the fat H8002 of the peace offerings H5262 , and the drink offerings H5930 for every burnt offering H5656 . So the service H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD H3559 was set in order [H8735]  .
  36 H3169 And Hezekiah H8055 rejoiced [H8799]   H5971 , and all the people H430 , that God H3559 had prepared [H8689]   H5971 the people H1697 : for the thing H6597 was done suddenly.

  8 H1961 ויהי was H7110 קצף Wherefore the wrath H3068 יהוה of the LORD H5921 על upon H3063 יהודה Judah H3389 וירושׁלם and Jerusalem, H5414 ויתנם and he hath delivered H2113 לזועה   H8047 לשׁמה to astonishment, H8322 ולשׁרקה and to hissing, H834 כאשׁר as H859 אתם ye H7200 ראים see H5869 בעיניכם׃ with your eyes.
  9 H2009 והנה For, lo, H5307 נפלו have fallen H1 אבותינו our fathers H2719 בחרב by the sword, H1121 ובנינו and our sons H1323 ובנותינו and our daughters H802 ונשׁינו and our wives H7628 בשׁבי in captivity H5921 על for H2063 זאת׃ this.

  11 H1121 בני My sons, H6258 עתה now H408 אל be not H7952 תשׁלו negligent: H3588 כי for H970 בכם בחר   H3069 יהוה   H5975 לעמד you to stand H6440 לפניו before H8334 לשׁרתו him, to serve H1961 ולהיות him, and that ye should minister H8334 לו משׁרתים him, and that ye should minister H6999 ומקטרים׃ unto him, and burn incense.

  14 H4480 ומן And of H1121 בני the sons H1968 הימן of Heman; H3171 יחואל Jehiel, H8096 ושׁמעי and Shimei: H4480 ומן and of H1121 בני the sons H3038 ידותון of Jeduthun; H8098 שׁמעיה Shemaiah, H5816 ועזיאל׃ and Uzziel.
  15 H622 ויאספו And they gathered H853 את   H251 אחיהם their brethren, H6942 ויתקדשׁו and sanctified themselves, H935 ויבאו and came, H4687 כמצות according to the commandment H4428 המלך of the king, H1697 בדברי by the words H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H2891 לטהר to cleanse H1004 בית the house H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
  16 H935 ויבאו went H3548 הכהנים And the priests H6441 לפנימה into the inner part H1004 בית of the house H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H2891 לטהר to cleanse H3318 ויוציאו and brought out H853 את   H3605 כל all H2932 הטמאה the uncleanness H834 אשׁר that H4672 מצאו they found H1964 בהיכל in the temple H3068 יהוה of the LORD H2691 לחצר into the court H1004 בית of the house H3068 יהוה of the LORD. H6901 ויקבלו took H3881 הלוים And the Levites H3318 להוציא to carry out H5158 לנחל into the brook H6939 קדרון Kidron. H2351 חוצה׃ abroad
  17 H2490 ויחלו Now they began H259 באחד on the first H2320 לחדשׁ month H7223 הראשׁון of the first H6942 לקדשׁ to sanctify, H3117 וביום day H8083 שׁמונה and on the eighth H2320 לחדשׁ of the month H935 באו came H197 לאולם they to the porch H3068 יהוה of the LORD: H6942 ויקדשׁו so they sanctified H853 את   H1004 בית the house H3068 יהוה of the LORD H3117 לימים days; H8083 שׁמונה in eight H3117 וביום day H8337 שׁשׁה and in the sixteenth H6240 עשׂר and in the sixteenth H2320 לחדשׁ month H7223 הראשׁון of the first H3615 כלו׃ they made an end.
  18 H935 ויבואו Then they went H6441 פנימה in H413 אל to H2396 חזקיהו Hezekiah H4428 המלך the king, H559 ויאמרו and said, H2891 טהרנו We have cleansed H853 את   H3605 כל all H1004 בית the house H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H853 את   H4196 מזבח and the altar H5930 העולה of burnt offering, H853 ואת   H3605 כל with all H3627 כליו the vessels H853 ואת   H7979 שׁלחן table, H4635 המערכת thereof, and the shewbread H853 ואת   H3605 כל with all H3627 כליו׃ the vessels
  19 H854 ואת   H3605 כל Moreover all H3627 הכלים the vessels, H834 אשׁר which H2186 הזניח did cast away H4428 המלך king H271 אחז Ahaz H4438 במלכותו in his reign H4604 במעלו in his transgression, H3559 הכנו have we prepared H6942 והקדשׁנו and sanctified, H2005 והנם   H6440 לפני they before H4196 מזבח the altar H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
  20 H7925 וישׁכם rose early, H2396 יחזקיהו   H4428 המלך the king H622 ויאסף and gathered H853 את   H8269 שׂרי the rulers H5892 העיר of the city, H5927 ויעל and went up H1004 בית to the house H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
  21 H935 ויביאו And they brought H6499 פרים bullocks, H7651 שׁבעה seven H352 ואילים rams, H7651 שׁבעה and seven H3532 וכבשׂים lambs, H7651 שׁבעה and seven H6842 וצפירי he goats, H5795 עזים he goats, H7651 שׁבעה and seven H2403 לחטאת for a sin offering H5921 על for H4467 הממלכה the kingdom, H5921 ועל and for H4720 המקדשׁ the sanctuary, H5921 ועל and for H3063 יהודה Judah. H559 ויאמר And he commanded H1121 לבני the sons H175 אהרן of Aaron H3548 הכהנים the priests H5927 להעלות to offer H5921 על on H4196 מזבח the altar H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
  22 H7819 וישׁחטו So they killed H1241 הבקר the bullocks, H6901 ויקבלו received H3548 הכהנים and the priests H853 את   H1818 הדם the blood, H2236 ויזרקו and sprinkled H4196 המזבחה on the altar: H7819 וישׁחטו likewise, when they had killed H352 האלים the rams, H2236 ויזרקו they sprinkled H1818 הדם the blood H4196 המזבחה upon the altar: H7819 וישׁחטו they killed H3532 הכבשׂים also the lambs, H2236 ויזרקו and they sprinkled H1818 הדם the blood H4196 המזבחה׃ upon the altar.
  23 H5066 ויגישׁו And they brought forth H853 את   H8163 שׂעירי the he goats H2403 החטאת the sin offering H6440 לפני before H4428 המלך the king H6951 והקהל and the congregation; H5564 ויסמכו and they laid H3027 ידיהם their hands H5921 עליהם׃ upon
  24 H7819 וישׁחטום killed H3548 הכהנים And the priests H2398 ויחטאו them, and they made reconciliation H854 את with H1818 דמם their blood H4196 המזבחה upon the altar, H3722 לכפר to make an atonement H5921 על for H3605 כל all H3478 ישׂראל Israel: H3588 כי for H3605 לכל for all H3478 ישׂראל Israel. H559 אמר commanded H4428 המלך the king H5930 העולה the burnt offering H2403 והחטאת׃ and the sin offering

  27 H559 ויאמר commanded H2396 חזקיהו And Hezekiah H5927 להעלות to offer H5930 העלה the burnt offering H4196 להמזבח upon the altar. H6256 ובעת And when H2490 החל began, H5930 העולה the burnt offering H2490 החל began H7892 שׁיר the song H3068 יהוה of the LORD H2689 והחצצרות with the trumpets, H5921 ועל and with H3027 ידי the instruments H3627 כלי the instruments H1732 דויד by David H4428 מלך king H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.
  28 H3605 וכל And all H6951 הקהל the congregation H7812 משׁתחוים worshiped, H7892 והשׁיר and the singers H7891 משׁורר sang, H2689 והחצצרות and the trumpeters H2690 מחצצרים sounded: H3605 הכל all H5704 עד until H3615 לכלות was finished. H5930 העלה׃ the burnt offering
  29 H3615 וככלות And when they had made an end H5927 להעלות of offering, H3766 כרעו him bowed H4428 המלך the king H3605 וכל and all H4672 הנמצאים that were present H854 אתו with H7812 וישׁתחוו׃ themselves, and worshiped.
  30 H559 ויאמר commanded H2396 יחזקיהו   H4428 המלך the king H8269 והשׂרים and the princes H3881 ללוים the Levites H1984 להלל to sing praise H3068 ליהוה unto the LORD H1697 בדברי with the words H1732 דויד of David, H623 ואסף and of Asaph H2374 החזה the seer. H1984 ויהללו And they sang praises H5704 עד with H8057 לשׂמחה gladness, H6915 ויקדו and they bowed their heads H7812 וישׁתחוו׃ and worshiped.
