  1 H4672 If one be found [H8735]   H2491 slain H127 in the land H3068 which the LORD H430 thy God H5414 giveth [H8802]   H3423 thee to possess [H8800]   H5307 it, lying [H8802]   H7704 in the field H3045 , and it be not known [H8738]   H5221 who hath slain [H8689]   him:
  2 H2205 Then thy elders H8199 and thy judges [H8802]   H3318 shall come forth [H8804]   H4058 , and they shall measure [H8804]   H5892 unto the cities H5439 which are round about H2491 him that is slain:
  3 H5892 And it shall be, that the city H7138 which is next H2491 unto the slain man H2205 , even the elders H5892 of that city H3947 shall take [H8804]   H1241 an heifer H5697   H5647 , which hath not been wrought with [H8795]   H4900 , and which hath not drawn [H8804]   H5923 in the yoke;
  4 H2205 And the elders H5892 of that city H3381 shall bring down [H8689]   H5697 the heifer H386 unto a rough H5158 valley H5647 , which is neither eared [H8735]   H2232 nor sown [H8735]   H6202 , and shall strike off H5697 the heifer's H6202 neck [H8804]   H5158 there in the valley:
  5 H3548 And the priests H1121 the sons H3878 of Levi H5066 shall come near [H8738]   H3068 ; for them the LORD H430 thy God H977 hath chosen [H8804]   H8334 to minister [H8763]   H1288 unto him, and to bless [H8763]   H8034 in the name H3068 of the LORD H6310 ; and by their word H7379 shall every controversy H5061 and every stroke be tried :
  6 H2205 And all the elders H5892 of that city H7138 , that are next H2491 unto the slain H7364 man, shall wash [H8799]   H3027 their hands H5697 over the heifer H6202 that is beheaded [H8803]   H5158 in the valley:
  7 H6030 And they shall answer [H8804]   H559 and say [H8804]   H3027 , Our hands H8210 have not shed [H8804]   H1818 this blood H5869 , neither have our eyes H7200 seen [H8804]   it .
  8 H3722 Be merciful [H8761]   H3068 , O LORD H5971 , unto thy people H3478 Israel H6299 , whom thou hast redeemed [H8804]   H5414 , and lay [H8799]   H5355 not innocent H1818 blood H5971 unto thy people H3478 of Israel's H7130 charge H1818 . And the blood H3722 shall be forgiven [H8694]   them.
  9 H1197 So shalt thou put away [H8762]   H5355 the guilt of innocent H1818 blood H7130 from among H6213 you, when thou shalt do [H8799]   H3477 that which is right H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD.
  10 H3318 When thou goest forth [H8799]   H4421 to war H341 against thine enemies [H8802]   H3068 , and the LORD H430 thy God H5414 hath delivered [H8804]   H3027 them into thine hands H7617 , and thou hast taken [H8804]   H7628 them captive,
  11 H7200 And seest [H8804]   H7633 among the captives H8389 a beautiful H3303   H802 woman H2836 , and hast a desire [H8804]   H3947 unto her, that thou wouldest have her [H8804]   H802 to thy wife;
  12 H935 Then thou shalt bring [H8689]   H8432 her home H1004 to thine house H1548 ; and she shall shave [H8765]   H7218 her head H6213 , and pare [H8804]   H6856 her nails;
  13 H5493 And she shall put [H8689]   H8071 the raiment H7628 of her captivity H3427 from off her, and shall remain [H8804]   H1004 in thine house H1058 , and bewail [H8804]   H1 her father H517 and her mother H3117 a full H3391 month H310 : and after H935 that thou shalt go [H8799]   H1166 in unto her, and be her husband [H8804]   H802 , and she shall be thy wife.
  14 H2654 And it shall be, if thou have no delight [H8804]   H7971 in her, then thou shalt let her go [H8765]   H5315 whither she will H4376 ; but thou shalt not sell [H8799]   H4376 her at all [H8800]   H3701 for money H6014 , thou shalt not make merchandise [H8691]   H834 of her, because H6031 thou hast humbled [H8765]   her.
  15 H376 If a man H8147 have two H802 wives H259 , one H157 beloved [H8803]   H259 , and another H8130 hated [H8803]   H3205 , and they have born [H8804]   H1121 him children H157 , both the beloved [H8803]   H8130 and the hated [H8803]   H1060 ; and if the firstborn H1121 son H8146 be hers that was hated:
  16 H3117 Then it shall be, when H1121 he maketh his sons H5157 to inherit [H8687]   H3201 that which he hath, that he may [H8799]   H1121 not make the son H157 of the beloved [H8803]   H1069 firstborn [H8763]   H6440 before H1121 the son H8130 of the hated [H8803]   H1060 , which is indeed the firstborn:
  17 H5234 But he shall acknowledge [H8686]   H1121 the son H8130 of the hated [H8803]   H1060 for the firstborn H5414 , by giving [H8800]   H8147 him a double H6310 portion H4672 of all that he hath [H8735]   H7225 : for he is the beginning H202 of his strength H4941 ; the right H1062 of the firstborn is his.
  18 H376 If a man H5637 have a stubborn [H8802]   H4784 and rebellious [H8802]   H1121 son H8085 , which will not obey [H8802]   H6963 the voice H1 of his father H6963 , or the voice H517 of his mother H3256 , and that, when they have chastened [H8765]   H8085 him, will not hearken [H8799]   unto them:
  19 H1 Then shall his father H517 and his mother H8610 lay hold [H8804]   H3318 on him, and bring him out [H8689]   H2205 unto the elders H5892 of his city H8179 , and unto the gate H4725 of his place;
  20 H559 And they shall say [H8804]   H2205 unto the elders H5892 of his city H1121 , This our son H5637 is stubborn [H8802]   H4784 and rebellious [H8802]   H8085 , he will not obey [H8802]   H6963 our voice H2151 ; he is a glutton [H8802]   H5433 , and a drunkard [H8802]  .
  21 H582 And all the men H5892 of his city H7275 shall stone [H8804]   H68 him with stones H4191 , that he die [H8804]   H1197 : so shalt thou put H7451 evil H1197 away [H8765]   H7130 from among H3478 you; and all Israel H8085 shall hear [H8799]   H3372 , and fear [H8799]  .
  22 H376 And if a man H2399 have committed a sin H4941 worthy of H4194 death H4191 , and he be to be put to death [H8717]   H8518 , and thou hang [H8804]   H6086 him on a tree:
  23 H5038 His body H3885 shall not remain all night [H8799]   H6086 upon the tree H6912 , but thou shalt in any wise [H8800]   H6912 bury [H8799]   H3117 him that day H8518 ; (for he that is hanged [H8803]   H7045 is accursed H430 of God H127 ;) that thy land H2930 be not defiled [H8762]   H3068 , which the LORD H430 thy God H5414 giveth [H8802]   H5159 thee for an inheritance.

  1 H3588 כי If H4672 ימצא be found H2491 חלל slain H127 באדמה in the land H834 אשׁר which H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H5414 נתן giveth H3423 לך לרשׁתה thee to possess H5307 נפל it, lying H7704 בשׂדה in the field, H3808 לא it be not H3045 נודע known H4310 מי who H5221 הכהו׃ hath slain
  2 H3318 ויצאו shall come forth, H2205 זקניך Then thy elders H8199 ושׁפטיך and thy judges H4058 ומדדו and they shall measure H413 אל unto H5892 הערים the cities H834 אשׁר which H5439 סביבת round about H2491 החלל׃ him that is slain:
  3 H1961 והיה And it shall be, H5892 העיר the city H7138 הקרבה next H413 אל unto H2491 החלל the slain man, H3947 ולקחו shall take H2205 זקני even the elders H5892 העיר city H1931 ההוא of that H5697 עגלת a heifer, H1241 בקר a heifer, H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא hath not H5647 עבד been wrought H834 בה אשׁר with, which H3808 לא hath not H4900 משׁכה drawn H5923 בעל׃ in the yoke;
  4 H3381 והורדו shall bring down H2205 זקני And the elders H5892 העיר city H1931 ההוא of that H853 את   H5697 העגלה the heifer H413 אל unto H5158 נחל valley, H386 איתן a rough H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא is neither H5647 יעבד eared H3808 בו ולא nor H2232 יזרע sown, H6202 וערפו   H8033 שׁם there H853 את   H5697 העגלה the heifer's H5158 בנחל׃ in the valley:
  5 H5066 ונגשׁו shall come near; H3548 הכהנים And the priests H1121 בני the sons H3878 לוי of Levi H3588 כי for H977 בם בחר hath chosen H3068 יהוה them the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H8334 לשׁרתו to minister H1288 ולברך unto him, and to bless H8034 בשׁם in the name H3068 יהוה of the LORD; H5921 ועל and by H6310 פיהם their word H1961 יהיה be H3605 כל shall every H7379 ריב controversy H3605 וכל and every H5061 נגע׃ stroke
  6 H3605 וכל And all H2205 זקני the elders H5892 העיר city, H1931 ההוא of that H7138 הקרבים next H413 אל unto H2491 החלל the slain H7364 ירחצו shall wash H853 את   H3027 ידיהם their hands H5921 על over H5697 העגלה the heifer H6202 הערופה that is beheaded H5158 בנחל׃ in the valley:
  7 H6030 וענו And they shall answer H559 ואמרו and say, H3027 ידינו Our hands H3808 לא have not H8210 שׁפכה shed H853 את   H1818 הדם blood, H2088 הזה this H5869 ועינינו have our eyes H3808 לא neither H7200 ראו׃ seen
  8 H3722 כפר Be merciful, H5971 לעמך unto thy people H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H834 אשׁר whom H6299 פדית thou hast redeemed, H3068 יהוה O LORD, H408 ואל not H5414 תתן and lay H1818 דם blood H5355 נקי innocent H7130 בקרב charge. H5971 עמך unto thy people H3478 ישׂראל of Israel's H3722 ונכפר shall be forgiven H1992 להם   H1818 הדם׃ And the blood
  9 H859 ואתה So shalt thou H1197 תבער put away H1818 הדם blood H5355 הנקי the innocent H7130 מקרבך from among H3588 כי you, when H6213 תעשׂה thou shalt do H3477 הישׁר right H5869 בעיני in the sight H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
  10 H3588 כי When H3318 תצא thou goest forth H4421 למלחמה to war H5921 על against H341 איביך thine enemies, H5414 ונתנו hath delivered H3068 יהוה and the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H3027 בידך them into thine hands, H7617 ושׁבית and thou hast taken H7617 שׁביו׃  
  11 H7200 וראית And seest H7633 בשׁביה among the captives H802 אשׁת woman, H3303 יפת   H8389 תאר a beautiful H2836 וחשׁקת and hast a desire H3947 בה ולקחת unto her, that thou wouldest have H802 לך לאשׁה׃ her to thy wife;
  12 H935 והבאתה Then thou shalt bring H413 אל   H8432 תוך her home H1004 ביתך to thine house; H1548 וגלחה and she shall shave H853 את   H7218 ראשׁה her head, H6213 ועשׂתה and pare H853 את   H6856 צפרניה׃ her nails;
  13 H5493 והסירה And she shall put H853 את   H8071 שׂמלת the raiment H7633 שׁביה   H5921 מעליה from off H3427 וישׁבה her, and shall remain H1004 בביתך in thine house, H1058 ובכתה and bewail H853 את   H1 אביה her father H853 ואת   H517 אמה and her mother H3391 ירח month: H3117 ימים a full H310 ואחר and after H3651 כן that H935 תבוא thou shalt go in H413 אליה unto H1167 ובעלתה her, and be her husband, H1961 והיתה and she shall be H802 לך לאשׁה׃ thy wife.
  14 H1961 והיה And it shall be, H518 אם if H3808 לא thou have no delight H2654 חפצת thou have no delight H7971 בה ושׁלחתה in her, then thou shalt let her go H5315 לנפשׁה whither she will; H4376 ומכר sell her at all H3808 לא but thou shalt not H4376 תמכרנה sell her at all H3701 בכסף for money, H3808 לא thou shalt not H6014 תתעמר make merchandise H8478 בה תחת of her, because H834 אשׁר of her, because H6031 עניתה׃ thou hast humbled
  15 H3588 כי If H1961 תהיין have H376 לאישׁ a man H8147 שׁתי two H802 נשׁים wives, H259 האחת one H157 אהובה beloved, H259 והאחת and another H8130 שׂנואה hated, H3205 וילדו and they have born H1121 לו בנים him children, H157 האהובה the beloved H8130 והשׂנואה and the hated; H1961 והיה be H1121 הבן son H1060 הבכר and the firstborn H8146 לשׂניאה׃ hers that was hated:
  16 H1961 והיה Then it shall be, H3117 ביום when H5157 הנחילו to inherit H853 את   H1121 בניו he maketh his sons H853 את   H834 אשׁר which H1961 יהיה he hath, H3808 לו לא not H3201 יוכל he may H1060 לבכר the firstborn: H853 את   H1121 בן the son H157 האהובה of the beloved H5921 על before H6440 פני before H1121 בן the son H8130 השׂנואה of the hated, H1060 הבכר׃  
  17 H3588 כי But H853 את   H1060 הבכר the firstborn, H1121 בן the son H8130 השׂנואה of the hated H5234 יכיר he shall acknowledge H5414 לתת by giving H6310 לו פי portion H8147 שׁנים him a double H3605 בכל of all H834 אשׁר that H4672 ימצא he hath: H3588 לו כי for H1931 הוא he H7225 ראשׁית the beginning H202 אנו of his strength; H4941 לו משׁפט the right H1062 הבכרה׃ of the firstborn
  18 H3588 כי If H1961 יהיה have H376 לאישׁ a man H1121 בן son, H5637 סורר a stubborn H4784 ומורה and rebellious H369 איננו which will not H8085 שׁמע obey H6963 בקול the voice H1 אביו of his father, H6963 ובקול or the voice H517 אמו of his mother, H3256 ויסרו and when they have chastened H853 אתו   H3808 ולא him, will not H8085 ישׁמע hearken H413 אליהם׃ unto
  19 H8610 ותפשׂו lay hold H1 בו אביו Then shall his father H517 ואמו and his mother H3318 והוציאו   H853 אתו   H413 אל unto H2205 זקני the elders H5892 עירו of his city, H413 ואל and unto H8179 שׁער the gate H4725 מקמו׃ of his place;
  20 H559 ואמרו And they shall say H413 אל unto H2205 זקני the elders H5892 עירו of his city, H1121 בננו our son H2088 זה This H5637 סורר stubborn H4784 ומרה and rebellious, H369 איננו he will not H8085 שׁמע obey H6963 בקלנו our voice; H2151 זולל a glutton, H5435 וסבא׃  
  21 H7275 ורגמהו shall stone H3605 כל And all H376 אנשׁי the men H5892 עירו of his city H68 באבנים him with stones, H4191 ומת that he die: H1197 ובערת so shalt thou put evil away H7451 הרע so shalt thou put evil away H7130 מקרבך from among H3605 וכל you; and all H3478 ישׂראל Israel H8085 ישׁמעו shall hear, H3372 ויראו׃ and fear.
  22 H3588 וכי And if H1961 יהיה have committed H376 באישׁ a man H2399 חטא a sin H4941 משׁפט worthy H4194 מות of death, H4191 והומת and he be to be put to death, H8518 ותלית and thou hang H853 אתו   H5921 על him on H6086 עץ׃ a tree:
  23 H3808 לא shall not H3885 תלין remain all night H5038 נבלתו His body H5921 על upon H6086 העץ the tree, H3588 כי but H6912 קבור thou shalt in any wise bury H6912 תקברנו thou shalt in any wise bury H3117 ביום day; H1931 ההוא him that H3588 כי (for H7045 קללת accursed H430 אלהים of God;) H8518 תלוי he that is hanged H3808 ולא be not H2930 תטמא defiled, H853 את   H127 אדמתך that thy land H834 אשׁר which H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H5414 נתן giveth H5159 לך נחלה׃ thee an inheritance.
