2 Chronicles 30 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah , and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh , that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem , to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel.

2 H4428 For the king H3289 had taken counsel [H8735] H8269 , and his princes H6951 , and all the congregation H3389 in Jerusalem H6213 , to keep [H8800] H6453 the passover H8145 in the second H2320 month.

3 H3201 For they could [H8804] H6213 not keep [H8800] H6256 it at that time H3548 , because the priests H6942 had not sanctified [H8694] H4078 themselves sufficiently [H8676] H1767 H5971 , neither had the people H622 gathered themselves together [H8738] H3389 to Jerusalem.

4 H1697 And the thing H3474 pleased [H8799] H5869 H4428 the king H6951 and all the congregation.

5 H5975 So they established [H8686] H1697 a decree H5674 to make proclamation [H8687] H6963 H3478 throughout all Israel H884 , from Beersheba H1835 even to Dan H935 , that they should come [H8800] H6213 to keep [H8800] H6453 the passover H3068 unto the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H3389 at Jerusalem H6213 : for they had not done [H8804] H7230 it of a long H3789 time in such sort as it was written [H8803] .

6 H7323 So the posts [H8801] H3212 went [H8799] H107 with the letters H3027 from H4428 the king H8269 and his princes H3478 throughout all Israel H3063 and Judah H4687 , and according to the commandment H4428 of the king H559 , saying [H8800] H1121 , Ye children H3478 of Israel H7725 , turn again [H8798] H3068 unto the LORD H430 God H85 of Abraham H3327 , Isaac H3478 , and Israel H7725 , and he will return [H8799] H7604 to the remnant [H8737] H6413 of you, that are escaped H3709 out of the hand H4428 of the kings H804 of Assyria.

7 H1 And be not ye like your fathers H251 , and like your brethren H4603 , which trespassed [H8804] H3068 against the LORD H430 God H1 of their fathers H5414 , who therefore gave them up [H8799] H8047 to desolation H7200 , as ye see [H8802] .

8 H7185 Now be ye not stiffnecked [H8686] H6203 H1 , as your fathers H5414 were, but yield [H8798] H3027 yourselves H3068 unto the LORD H935 , and enter [H8798] H4720 into his sanctuary H6942 , which he hath sanctified [H8689] H5769 for ever H5647 : and serve [H8798] H3068 the LORD H430 your God H2740 , that the fierceness H639 of his wrath H7725 may turn away [H8799] from you.

9 H7725 For if ye turn again [H8800] H3068 unto the LORD H251 , your brethren H1121 and your children H7356 shall find compassion H6440 before H7617 them that lead them captive [H8802] H7725 , so that they shall come again [H8800] H776 into this land H3068 : for the LORD H430 your God H2587 is gracious H7349 and merciful H5493 , and will not turn away [H8686] H6440 his face H7725 from you, if ye return [H8799] unto him.

10 H7323 So the posts [H8801] H5674 passed [H8802] H5892 from city H5892 to city H776 through the country H669 of Ephraim H4519 and Manasseh H2074 even unto Zebulun H7832 : but they laughed them to scorn [H8688] H3932 , and mocked [H8688] them.

11 H582 Nevertheless divers H836 of Asher H4519 and Manasseh H2074 and of Zebulun H3665 humbled [H8738] H935 themselves, and came [H8799] H3389 to Jerusalem.

12 H3063 Also in Judah H3027 the hand H430 of God H5414 was to give [H8800] H259 them one H3820 heart H6213 to do [H8800] H4687 the commandment H4428 of the king H8269 and of the princes H1697 , by the word H3068 of the LORD.

13 H622 And there assembled [H8735] H3389 at Jerusalem H7227 much H5971 people H6213 to keep [H8800] H2282 the feast H4682 of unleavened bread H8145 in the second H2320 month H3966 , a very H7230 great H6951 congregation.

14 H6965 And they arose [H8799] H5493 and took away [H8686] H4196 the altars H3389 that were in Jerusalem H6999 , and all the altars for incense H5493 took they away [H8689] H7993 , and cast [H8686] H5158 them into the brook H6939 Kidron.

15 H7819 Then they killed [H8799] H6453 the passover H702 on the fourteenth H6240 H8145 day of the second H2320 month H3548 : and the priests H3881 and the Levites H3637 were ashamed [H8738] H6942 , and sanctified [H8691] H935 themselves, and brought in [H8686] H5930 the burnt offerings H1004 into the house H3068 of the LORD.

16 H5975 And they stood [H8799] H5977 in their place H4941 after their manner H8451 , according to the law H4872 of Moses H376 the man H430 of God H3548 : the priests H2236 sprinkled [H8802] H1818 the blood H3027 , which they received of the hand H3881 of the Levites.

17 H7227 For there were many H6951 in the congregation H6942 that were not sanctified [H8694] H3881 : therefore the Levites H7821 had the charge of the killing H6453 of the passovers H2889 for every one that was not clean H6942 , to sanctify [H8687] H3068 them unto the LORD.

18 H4768 For a multitude H5971 of the people H7227 , even many H669 of Ephraim H4519 , and Manasseh H3485 , Issachar H2074 , and Zebulun H3808 , had not H2891 cleansed [H8694] H398 themselves, yet did they eat [H8804] H6453 the passover H3789 otherwise than it was written [H8803] H3169 . But Hezekiah H6419 prayed [H8694] H559 for them, saying [H8800] H2896 , The good H3068 LORD H3722 pardon [H8762] every one

19 H3559 That prepareth [H8689] H3824 his heart H1875 to seek [H8800] H430 God H3068 , the LORD H430 God H1 of his fathers H2893 , though he be not cleansed according to the purification H6944 of the sanctuary.

20 H3068 And the LORD H8085 hearkened [H8799] H3169 to Hezekiah H7495 , and healed [H8799] H5971 the people.

21 H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H4672 that were present [H8737] H3389 at Jerusalem H6213 kept [H8799] H2282 the feast H4682 of unleavened bread H7651 seven H3117 days H1419 with great H8057 gladness H3881 : and the Levites H3548 and the priests H1984 praised [H8764] H3068 the LORD H3117 day H3117 by day H5797 , singing with loud H3627 instruments H3068 unto the LORD.

22 H3169 And Hezekiah H1696 spake [H8762] H3820 comfortably H3881 unto all the Levites H7919 that taught [H8688] H2896 the good H7922 knowledge H3068 of the LORD H398 : and they did eat [H8799] H4150 throughout the feast H7651 seven H3117 days H2076 , offering [H8764] H8002 peace H2077 offerings H3034 , and making confession [H8693] H3068 to the LORD H430 God H1 of their fathers.

23 H6951 And the whole assembly H3289 took counsel [H8735] H6213 to keep [H8800] H312 other H7651 seven H3117 days H6213 : and they kept [H8799] H7651 other seven H3117 days H8057 with gladness.

24 H2396 For Hezekiah H4428 king H3063 of Judah H7311 did give [H8689] H6951 to the congregation H505 a thousand H6499 bullocks H7651 and seven H505 thousand H6629 sheep H8269 ; and the princes H7311 gave [H8689] H6951 to the congregation H505 a thousand H6499 bullocks H6235 and ten H505 thousand H6629 sheep H7230 : and a great number H3548 of priests H6942 sanctified [H8691] themselves.

25 H6951 And all the congregation H3063 of Judah H3548 , with the priests H3881 and the Levites H6951 , and all the congregation H935 that came out [H8802] H3478 of Israel H1616 , and the strangers H935 that came out [H8802] H776 of the land H3478 of Israel H3427 , and that dwelt [H8802] H3063 in Judah H8055 , rejoiced [H8799] .

26 H1419 So there was great H8057 joy H3389 in Jerusalem H3117 : for since the time H8010 of Solomon H1121 the son H1732 of David H4428 king H3478 of Israel H3389 there was not the like in Jerusalem.

27 H3548 Then the priests H3881 the Levites H6965 arose [H8799] H1288 and blessed [H8762] H5971 the people H6963 : and their voice H8085 was heard [H8735] H8605 , and their prayer H935 came [H8799] H6944 up to his holy H4583 dwelling place H8064 , even unto heaven.
