Jeremiah 12 Righteous art thou, O LORD , when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments : Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper ? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously ?

2 H5193 Thou hast planted [H8804] H8327 them, yea, they have taken root [H8776] H3212 : they grow [H8799] H6213 , yea, they bring forth [H8804] H6529 fruit H7138 : thou art near H6310 in their mouth H7350 , and far from H3629 their reins.

3 H3068 But thou, O LORD H3045 , knowest [H8804] H7200 me: thou hast seen [H8799] H974 me, and tried [H8804] H3820 mine heart H5423 toward thee: pull them out [H8685] H6629 like sheep H2878 for the slaughter H6942 , and prepare [H8685] H3117 them for the day H2028 of slaughter.

4 H776 How long shall the land H56 mourn [H8799] H6212 , and the herbs H7704 of every field H3001 wither [H8799] H7451 , for the wickedness H3427 of them that dwell [H8802] H929 therein? the beasts H5595 are consumed [H8804] H5775 , and the birds H559 ; because they said [H8804] H7200 , He shall not see [H8799] H319 our last end.

5 H7323 If thou hast run [H8804] H7273 with the footmen H3811 , and they have wearied [H8686] H8474 thee, then how canst thou contend [H8807] H5483 with horses H776 ? and if in the land H7965 of peace H982 , wherein thou trustedst [H8802] H6213 , they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do [H8799] H1347 in the swelling H3383 of Jordan?

6 H251 For even thy brethren H1004 , and the house H1 of thy father H898 , even they have dealt treacherously [H8804] H7121 with thee; yea, they have called [H8804] H4392 a multitude H310 after H539 thee: believe [H8686] H1696 them not, though they speak [H8762] H2896 fair words unto thee.

14 H559 Thus saith [H8804] H3068 the LORD H7451 against all mine evil H7934 neighbours H5060 , that touch [H8802] H5159 the inheritance H5971 which I have caused my people H3478 Israel H5157 to inherit [H8689] H5428 ; Behold, I will pluck them out [H8802] H127 of their land H5428 , and pluck out [H8799] H1004 the house H3063 of Judah H8432 from among them.

15 H310 And it shall come to pass, after H5428 that I have plucked them out [H8800] H7725 I will return [H8799] H7355 , and have compassion [H8765] H7725 on them, and will bring them again [H8689] H376 , every man H5159 to his heritage H376 , and every man H776 to his land.

16 H3925 And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently [H8800] H3925 learn [H8799] H1870 the ways H5971 of my people H7650 , to swear [H8736] H8034 by my name H3068 , The LORD H2416 liveth H3925 ; as they taught [H8765] H5971 my people H7650 to swear [H8736] H1168 by Baal H1129 ; then shall they be built [H8738] H8432 in the midst H5971 of my people.

17 H8085 But if they will not obey [H8799] H5428 , I will utterly [H8800] H5428 pluck up [H8804] H6 and destroy [H8763] H1471 that nation H5002 , saith [H8803] H3068 the LORD.
