2 Thessalonians

MLV(i) 1 Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the congregation of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: 2 grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Brethren, we always ought to thank God concerning you, just-as it is worthy, because your faith is growing substantially, and the love of each one of you all toward one another is increasing; 4 so-that we ourselves boast in you in the congregations of God, on behalf of your endurance and faith in all your persecutions, and in the afflictions which you are tolerating. 5 This is an example of the righteous judgment of God; that you may be deemed worthy of the kingdom of God, on behalf of which you are also suffering; 6 if indeed it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who are afflicting you; 7 and to you who are afflicted with us, a rest at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the messengers of his power, 8 giving vengeance in a fire of flame to those who do not know God and to those who are not obeying the good-news of our Lord Jesus Christ, 9 who will be suffering-punishment, the sentence of everlasting utter-destruction away from the face of the Lord, and away from the glory of his strength, 10 whenever he may come to be glorified in his holy-ones, and to be marveled at in that day in all those who have believed, (because our testimony to you was believed).
11 For which, we are also always praying concerning you, in order that our God might deem you worthy of your calling, and might fulfill every delight of goodness, and every work of faith in power, 12 that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ might be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
