Psalms 16

MLV(i) 1 Preserve me, O God, because I take refuge in you. 2 You, my soul, have said to Jehovah, You are my Lord. I have no good beyond you.
3 As for the holy ones who are in the earth, they are the excellent in whom is all my delight.
4 Their sorrows will be multiplied who give gifts for another god. Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take their names upon my lips.
5 Jehovah is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup. You maintain my lot. 6 The lines are fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, I have a fine heritage. 7 I will praise Jehovah, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.
8 I beheld Jehovah always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. 9 Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices. My flesh also will dwell in hope.
10 Because you will not leave my soul to Sheol, nor will you allow your holy man to see corruption.
11 You made known to me the path of life. You will fill me of joy with your countenance.
