Psalms 5

NSB(i) 1 ([Psalm of David]) Listen to my words, O Jehovah, Consider my innermost thoughts. 2 Listen to the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. 3 In the morning, O Jehovah, You will hear my voice. In the morning I will address my prayer to you and be on the watch. 4 For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness. No evil dwells with you! 5 The arrogant shall not stand before your eyes. You hate all who practice sin. 6 You destroy those who speak falsehood. Jehovah abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit. 7 But as for me, by your abundant loving kindness I will enter your house. At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence of you. 8 O Jehovah, lead me in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way straight in my presence. 9 There is nothing truthful in what they say! Their inward part is destruction. Their throat is an open grave. They flatter with their tongue. 10 Pronounce them guilty, O God. Let them fall by their own devices. In the multitude of their transgressions thrust them out, because they are rebellious against you. 11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice. Let them ever sing for joy because you defend them. Let those who love your name exult in you. 12 You bless the righteous man, O Jehovah. You surround him with favor as with a shield.
