Psalms 75

NSB(i) 1 ([Psalm of Asaph]) We give thanks to you, O God, we give thanks, for your name is near and men declare your wondrous works. 2 When I select an appointed time, it is I who judge in righteousness. 3 The earth and all who dwell in it dissolve (melt) (become faint hearted). I have firmly set its pillars. 4 I said to the boastful: »Do not boast!« I said to the wicked: »Do not lift up the horn (brag about your power)!« 5 Do not lift up your horn on high. Do not speak with insolent pride. 6 There is no exaltation from the east, or from the west, or from the desert. 7 God is the Judge; He brings down one and exalts another. 8 Jehovah holds a cup in his hand. The wine foams and is well mixed. So he pours from it. Surely all the wicked of the earth must drain and drink down its dregs. 9 But as for me, I will declare forever and I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. 10 He will remove the horn (power) of the wicked. The horn (power) of the righteous will be exalted.
