Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁷ They say to him, Why then did Moses command to give a bill of divorce and dismiss her? ⁸ He saith to them, Because of your intractable disposition Moses permitted you to put away your wives; but it was not so from the beginning. ⁹ Now I say to you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for whoredom and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he who marrieth her who was put away committeth adultery.
