VIN(i)
1 This is the blessing with which Moses, the man of God, blessed the Israelites before his death.
2 Then he said, "the LORD came from Sinai, and he dawned upon them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran, and he came with myriads of holy ones, at his right hand a fiery law for them.
3 Yes, he loves the people. All his holy ones are in your hand. They sat down at your feet; each receives your words.
4 A law hath Moses commanded us, A possession of the assembly of Jacob.
5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people assembled, the tribes of Israel.
6 Let Reuben live, and not die, nor let his men be few.
7 And he said this of Judah, "Hear, O LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him to his people; his own hands strive for him, and may you be a help against his foes."
8 About Levi he said:May your Thummim and your Urim be for your benign man whom you probed at Massah; you contended with him at the waters of Meribah,
9 He said of his father, and of his mother, 'I have not seen him.' He didn't acknowledge his brothers, nor did he know his own children; for they have observed your word, and keep your covenant.
10 "They will teach your ordinances to Jacob, and your Law to Israel. They will burn incense before you, and whole burnt offerings on your altar.
11 Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands. Smite through the loins of those who rise up against him, and of those who hate him, that they not rise again.
12 About Benjamin he said, “The beloved of the LORD will dwell in safety by him. He covers him all day long. He dwells between his shoulders.”
13 »Blessed of the LORD is his land. Bless it with the dew from heaven above and with the deep waters lying below.
14 Of the fruits brought forth by the sun and by the moon.
15 with the finest produce of the ancient mountains, and the abundance of the everlasting hills,
16 and with the choice things of the earth and its fullness, and the favor of the one who dwelt in the bush. Let them come to the head of Joseph, and to the crown of the prince among his brothers.
17 Majesty belongs to the firstborn of his herd. His horns are the horns of the wild ox. With them he will push all the peoples to the ends of the earth. They are the ten thousands of Ephraim. They are the thousands of Manasseh.”
18 About Zebulun he said, “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; and Issachar, in your tents.
19 They will call the tribes unto the mountain; there will they offer sacrifices of righteousness; for they will suck the abundance of the seas, and the treasures hid in the sand.
20 About Gad he said: "Blessed be the One who enlarges Gad! Like a roaring lion, he crouches, tearing arm and scalp.
21 He chose the best part for himself, when the leader's portion was assigned. He came at the head of the people, carrying out the LORD'S justice and his ordinances concerning Israel."
22 About Dan he said: "Dan is a lion's cub, leaping forth from Bashan."
23 About Naphtali he said, “Naphtali, satisfied with favor, full of the LORD’s blessing, Possess the west and the south.”
24 About Asher he said:Most blessed of sons be Asher, and let him come to be approved by his brothers, and be dipping his foot in oil.
25 May your shoe latches be iron and bronze, and your days as your strength.
26 There is none like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heaven to your help, and in His majesty on the clouds.
27 The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before you; and shall say, Destroy them.
28 Israel shall dwell in safety alone, the fountain of Jacob in a land of grain and new wine. Yes, His heavens drop down dew.
29 How blessed are you, Israel! Who can be like you, a people delivered by the LORD, your shield of help and your finely crafted sword. May your enemies cower before you. You will tread down their high places.
