Psalms 144

VIN(i) 1 By David. Blessed is the LORD my rock, who is teaching My hands for war, my fingers for battle. 2 my loyal love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, and one in whom I take refuge, the one who subdues peoples under me. 3 LORD, what is man, that you care for him? Or the son of man, that you think of him? 4 Man is like the breath: his days are like a passing shadow. 5 Part your heavens, LORD, and come down. Touch the mountains, and they will smoke. 6 Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy, shoot your arrows and confuse them. 7 Stretch out your hands from on high; Rescue me and deliver me from many waters, from the hand of foreigners, 8 Their mouths speak lies, and their right hand deceives, 9 I will sing a new song to you, God. On a ten-stringed lyre, I will sing praises to you. 10 You who gives salvation to kings, who delivers His servant David from the evil sword. 11 Rescue me and deliver me from the control of foreigners, whose mouths speak lies, and whose right hand deceives. 12 Then our sons will be like well-nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace. 13 Our barns will be full, filled with all kinds of provision; our sheep will bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields. 14 Our oxen will pull heavy loads, there will be no breaking in and no going away, and no crying in our streets. 15 Blessed are the people who have it thus. Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD.
