  24 H4428 And the king H804 of Assyria H935 [H8686] brought H894 men from Babylon H3575 , and from Cuthah H5755 , and from Ava H2574 , and from Hamath H5617 , and from Sepharvaim H3427 [H8686] , and placed H5892 them in the cities H8111 of Samaria H1121 instead of the children H3478 of Israel H3423 [H8799] : and they possessed H8111 Samaria H3427 [H8799] , and dwelt H5892 in its cities.

  32 H3373 So they feared H3068 the LORD H6213 [H8799] , and made H7098 to themselves of the lowest H3548 of them priests H1116 of the high places H6213 [H8802] , who sacrificed H1004 for them in the houses H1116 of the high places.
  33 H3373 They feared H3068 the LORD H5647 [H8802] , and served H430 their own gods H4941 , after the manner H1471 of the nations H1540 [H8689] whom they carried away from there.
  34 H3117 To this day H6213 [H8802] they do H7223 after the former H4941 manners H3373 : they fear H3068 not the LORD H6213 [H8802] , neither do H2708 they after their statutes H4941 , or after their ordinances H8451 , or after the law H4687 and commandment H3068 which the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded H1121 the children H3290 of Jacob H7760 H8034 [H8804] , whom he named H3478 Israel;
  35 H3068 With whom the LORD H3772 [H8799] had made H1285 a covenant H6680 [H8762] , and charged H559 [H8800] them, saying H3372 [H8799] , Ye shall not fear H312 other H430 gods H7812 [H8691] , nor bow H5647 [H8799] yourselves to them, nor serve H2076 [H8799] them, nor sacrifice to them:
  36 H3068 But the LORD H5927 [H8689] , who brought you H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt H1419 with great H3581 power H5186 [H8803] and an outstretched H2220 arm H3372 [H8799] , him shall ye fear H7812 [H8691] , and him shall ye worship H2076 [H8799] , and to him shall ye sacrifice.
  37 H2706 And the statutes H4941 , and the ordinances H8451 , and the law H4687 , and the commandment H3789 [H8804] , which he wrote H8104 [H8799] for you, ye shall observe H6213 [H8800] to do H3117 for evermore H3372 [H8799] ; and ye shall not fear H312 other H430 gods.
  38 H1285 And the covenant H3772 [H8804] that I have made H7911 [H8799] with you ye shall not forget H3372 [H8799] ; neither shall ye fear H312 other H430 gods.
  39 H3068 But the LORD H430 your God H3372 [H8799] ye shall fear H5337 [H8686] ; and he shall deliver H3027 you out of the hand H341 [H8802] of all your enemies.
  40 H8085 [H8804] Yet they did not hearken H6213 [H8802] , but they did H7223 after their former H4941 manner.
  41 H1471 So these nations H3373 feared H3068 the LORD H5647 [H8802] , and served H6456 their graven images H1121 , both their children H1121 , and their children's H1121 children H6213 [H8804] : as did H1 their fathers H6213 [H8802] , so do H3117 they to this day.
