Wesley⁽ⁱ⁾ ²¹ For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world to this time, nor ever shall be. ²² And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days shall be shortened. ²³ Then if any say to you, Lo here is Christ, or there; believe it not. ²⁴ For false Christs and false prophets shall arise and shew great signs and wonders, so that they would deceive (if it were possible) even the elect.
