And the dragon made war, and his angels; ⁸ and they prevailed not, nor was their place found any more in the heaven. ⁹ And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole habitable earth; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him. ¹⁰ And I heard a great voice in Heaven, saying, "Now came the salvation, and the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ; because the accuser of our brethren was cast down, he who accused them before our God day and night; ¹¹ and they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony, and they loved not their soul, even to death. ¹² On this account, rejoice, ye Heavens, and ye who dwell in them! Woe to the earth, and to the sea! because the Devil went down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a little time. ¹³ And, when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who brought forth the man-child.
