Acts 2:22-28

Worsley(i) 22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you, by miracles, and prodigies, and signs, which God wrought by Him in the midst of you, 23 (as ye yourselves also know,) Him being given up by the determinate counsel and fore-knowlege of God ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain. 24 Whom God hath raised up again, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it. 25 For David saith concerning Him, "I set the Lord always before me, for He is at my right hand, that I should not be moved: therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; 26 and my flesh shall rest in hope, 27 that Thou wilt not leave my soul in the invisible state, nor suffer thine holy one to see corruption. 28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; and Thou wilt fill me with joy by the light of thy countenance."
