Acts 2:22-28 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you, by miracles, and prodigies, and signs, which God wrought by Him in the midst of you,

Worsley⁽ⁱ⁾ ²² Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you, by miracles, and prodigies, and signs, which God wrought by Him in the midst of you, ²³ (as ye yourselves also know,) Him being given up by the determinate counsel and fore-knowlege of God ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain. ²⁴ Whom God hath raised up again, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it. ²⁵ For David saith concerning Him, "I set the Lord always before me, for He is at my right hand, that I should not be moved: therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; ²⁶ and my flesh shall rest in hope, ²⁷ that Thou wilt not leave my soul in the invisible state, nor suffer thine holy one to see corruption. ²⁸ Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; and Thou wilt fill me with joy by the light of thy countenance."
