11 Sol et luna steterunt in habitaculo suo: in luce sagittarum tuarum ibunt, in splendore fulgurantis hastæ tuæ. 12 In fremitu conculcabis terram; in furore obstupefacies gentes. 13 Egressus es in salutem populi tui, in salutem cum christo tuo: percussisti caput de domo impii, denudasti fundamentum ejus usque ad collum. 14 Maledixisti sceptris ejus, capiti bellatorum ejus, venientibus ut turbo ad dispergendum me: exsultatio eorum, sicut ejus qui devorat pauperem in abscondito. 15 Viam fecisti in mari equis tuis, in luto aquarum multarum.

Thou wilt divide the rivers of the earth. 10 The mountains saw thee, and were grieved: the great body of waters passed away. Thomson(i) 5 Before him Logos [the word] will march, and advance into the plain. 6 He stood and the earth was shaken: he looked, and nations melted away: the mountains were violently convulsed, the everlasting hills melted. 7 Instead of labours I beheld his marches of old. The dwellings of the Ethiopians shall be terrified! And the tents of the land of Madian! 8 Wast thou, Lord, angry with the rivers? Or was thy wrath against the rivers? Or thine indignation against a sea, that thou shouldst mount thy horses? Thy riding is indeed salvation. 9 Thou hast bent thy bow effectually against sceptres. The Lord saith, "The land of rivers shall be broken; 10 peoples shall see and be in pangs." Thou art scattering the rolling waters. The deep roared. It swelled high. 11 The sun was withdrawn: and the moon stood on its orbit. Thy bolts will glance for light, for a glare of the lightening of thine arms. 12 With a threat thou canst diminish a land, and with wrath crush nations. 13 Thou hast marched forth for the salvation of thy people, to save thine anointed One. Thou wilt pour death on the head of transgressors, thou hast raised chains up to the neck. 14 Thou hast struck with consternation the heads of mighties, at this they will be appalled! They will slacken their reins and be like a poor man eating in secret, 15 whilst thou art pressing into the sea thy horses ruffling a mighty water.

Brenton(i) 5 Before his face shall go a report, and it shall go forth into the plains, 6 the earth stood at his feet and trembled: he beheld, and the nations melted away: the mountains were violently burst through, the everlasting hills melted at his everlasting going forth. 7 Because of troubles I looked upon the tents of the Ethiopians: the tabernacles also of the land of Madiam shall be dismayed. 8 Wast thou angry, O Lord, with the rivers? or was thy wrath against the rivers, or thine anger against the sea? for thou wilt mount on thine horses, and thy chariots are salvation. 9 Surely thou didst bend they bow at scepters, saith the Lord. Pause. The land of rivers shall be torn asunder. 10 The nations shall see thee and be in pain, as thou dost divide the moving waters: the deep uttered her voice, and raised her form on high. 11 The sun was exalted, and the moon stood still in her course: thy darts shall go forth at the light, at the brightness of the gleaming of thine arms. 12 Thou wilt bring low the land with threatening, and in wrath thou wilt break down the nations. 13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, to save thine anointed: thou shalt bring death on the heads of transgressors; thou has brought bands upon their neck. Pause. 14 Thou didst cut asunder the heads of princes with amazement, they shall tremble in it; they shall burst their bridles, they shall be as a poor man devouring in secret. 15 And thou dost cause thine horses to enter the sea, disturbing much water.

Leeser(i) 5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth in his steps. 6 He stood forward, and made the earth tremble; he looked and dispersed nations; and there burst asunder the everlasting mountains; there sunk the perpetual hills: the ways of the world are his. 7 In affliction I saw the tents of Cushan: they trembled—the curtains of the land of Midian. 8 Was the Lord wroth against the rivers? yea, was against the rivers thy anger kindled? was against the sea thy wrath that thou rodest upon thy horses, thy chariots of victory! 9 Laid quite bare is thy bow, like severe rods of punishment goeth forth thy word, Selah: into rivers thou splittest the earth. 10 The mountains saw thee, they trembled; the flowing waters passed along: the deep issued forth its voice, the height lifted up its hands. 11 The sun and moon stood still in their dwelling: at the light of thy arrows they walked along, at the shining of the flaming glitter of thy spear. 12 In indignation thou marchest through the earth, in anger thou treadest down nations. 13 Thou wentest forth to the assistance of thy people, to the assistance of thy anointed: thou didst wound the head out of the house of the wicked, destroy the foundation with the high-towering walls. Selah. 14 Thou didst strike through with his own spears the chiefs of his villages, who rushed out furiously to scatter me; who rejoiced greatly as though they were to devour the poor in secret. 15 But thou didst pass along over the sea with thy horses, over the piled up billows of great waters.
YLT(i) 5 Before Him goeth pestilence, And a burning flame goeth forth at His feet. 6 He hath stood, and He measureth earth, He hath seen, and He shaketh off nations, And scatter themselves do mountains of antiquity, Bowed have the hills of old, The ways of old are His. 7 Under sorrow I have seen tents of Cushan, Tremble do curtains of the land of Midian. 8 Against rivers hath Jehovah been wroth? Against rivers is Thine anger? Against the sea is Thy wrath? For Thou dost ride on Thy horses—Thy chariots of salvation? 9 Utterly naked Thou dost make Thy bow, Sworn are the tribes—saying, `Pause!' With rivers Thou dost cleave the earth. 10 Seen thee—pained are mountains, An inundation of waters hath passed over, Given forth hath the deep its voice, High its hands it hath lifted up. 11 Sun—moon—hath stood—a habitation, At the light thine arrows go on, At the brightness, the glittering of thy spear. 12 In indignation Thou dost tread earth, In anger Thou dost thresh nations. 13 Thou hast gone forth for the salvation of Thy people, For salvation with Thine anointed, Thou hast smitten the head of the house of the wicked, Laying bare the foundation unto the neck. Pause! 14 Thou hast pierced with his staves the head of his leaders, They are tempestuous to scatter me, Their exultation is as to consume the poor in secret. 15 Thou hast proceeded through the sea with Thy horses—the clay of many waters.

11 Sonne und Mond standen still.

Ti e ke ndarë tokën me lumenjtë. 12 Ti e ke përshkuar dheun i indinjuar, i ke shkelur kombet i zemëruar.

Mòn ki la depi lontan yo kraze an miyèt moso. Ti mòn tan lontan yo vin plat. Chemen kote li te konn pase tan lontan yo louvri devan l'. 7 Mwen wè moun peyi Letiopi yo nan gwo lafliksyon. Gwo lapli ap tonbe soti nan syèl la. Dlo anba tè yo ap gwonde. Gwo lanm lanmè ap leve byen wo. 11 Flèch ou yo pati tankou zèklè. Lans ou yo klere byen klere. Lalin ak solèy pa parèt tèt yo deyò. 12 Ou move, w'ap mache toupatou sou latè. Nan kòlè ou, ou pilonnen nasyon yo anba pye ou. 13 Ou soti pou delivre pèp ou a, pou sove wa ou chwazi a. Ou kraze chèf mechan yo. Ou detwi tout moun li yo nèt. 14 Avèk flèch ou yo, ou pèse kòmandan an chèf lame yo a, lè yo t'ap vare sou nou tankou yon van tanpèt pou gaye nou.
