Iată, Eu am ieşit ca să-ţi stau împotrivă, căci drumul pe care mergi, este un drum care duce la perzare, înaintea Mea. ³³ Măgăriţa M'a văzut, şi s'a abătut de trei ori dinaintea Mea; dacă nu s'ar fi abătut dinaintea Mea, pe tine te-aş fi omorît, iar pe ea aş fi lăsat -o vie.`` ³⁴ Balaam a zis Îngerului Domnului:,,Am păcătuit, căci nu ştiam că te-ai aşezat înaintea mea în drum; şi acum, dacă nu găseşti că e bine ce fac eu, mă voi întoarce.`` ³⁵ Îngerul Domnului a zis lui Balaam:,,Du-te cu oamenii aceştia; dar să spui numai cuvintele pe cari ţi le voi spune Eu.`` Şi Balaam a plecat înainte cu căpeteniile lui Balac.

І схилився він, і впав на обличчя своє. ³² І сказав до нього Ангол Господній: Нащо ти вдарив ослицю свою оце тричі? Ось я вийшов за перешкоду, бо ця дорога погибельна передо мною. ³³ І побачила мене ця ослиця, і збочила перед лицем моїм ось власне тричі. І коли б вона не збочила була перед лицем моїм, то тепер я й забив би тебе, а її позоставив би живою. ³⁴ І сказав Валаам до Господнього Ангола: Я згрішив, бо не знав, що ти стоїш на дорозі навпроти мене.
