¹⁹ And her masters, seeing that the hope of their gain departed, laid hold of Paul and Silas, and drew them into the market-place before the rulers.

⁹ Then will they deliver you up unto affliction, and will kill you; and ye will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.

⁹ But do ye take heed to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to councils, and in the synagogues ye will be beaten; and ye will be brought before governors and kings for my sake for a testimony to them.

³ But Saul laid waste the church, entering house after house, and dragging both men and women, committed them to prison.

¹⁶ for I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

⁵ And when a movement was made, both of the Gentiles and Jews with their rulers, to abuse and stone them,

³⁰ And all the city was moved, and the people ran together; and laying hold of Paul, they dragged him out of the temple; and forthwith the doors were shut.
