⁴ And it came to pass, that as they were much perplexed concerning this, behold two men stood by them in shining garments.

² And behold, there was a great earthquake. For an angel of the Lord, descending out of heaven, came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it. ³ His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow; ⁴ and for fear of him the keepers shook, and became as dead men. ⁵ And the angel answering said to the women: Fear not ye; for I know that ye are seeking Jesus, who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here; for he is risen, as he said. Come hither, see the place where the Lord lay.

⁵ And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe; and they were affrighted.
