⁷ And they bring the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

⁴ Now all this has been done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying: ⁵ Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy King comes to thee, Meek, and mounted upon an ass, And upon a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.

⁷ brought the ass and the colt, and put on them their garments, and he sat thereon. ⁸ And most of the multitude spread their own garments in the way; and others cut down branches from the trees, and strewed in the way.

³⁵ And they brought him to Jesus; and having cast their garments upon the colt, they set Jesus thereon. ³⁶ And as he went, they spread their garments in the way.

¹² On the morrow a great multitude that had come to the feast, hearing that Jesus is coming to Jerusalem, ¹³ took branches of the palm-trees and went forth to meet him, and cried: Hosanna; blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel. ¹⁴ And Jesus, having found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written: ¹⁵ Fear not, daughter of Zion; Behold, thy King comes, Sitting on an ass's colt. ¹⁶ These things his disciples understood not at the first. But when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and that they did these things to him.
