² And the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; because it was given to the Gentiles, and they will tread down the holy city forty-two months.

⁵ Then the Devil takes him into the holy city, and sets him on the pinnacle of the temple,

¹³ Ye are the salt of the earth; but if the salt become tasteless, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot by men.

⁵³ and coming out of the tombs, after his resurrection, went into the holy city, and appeared to many.

²⁴ And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles shall be fulfilled.

³ Let not any one deceive you in any manner; because [that day will not come], except there come first the falling away, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; ⁴ he that opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. ⁵ Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? ⁶ And now ye know what withholds, in order that he may be revealed in his own time. ⁷ For the mystery of iniquity is already working; only until he who now withholds shall be out of the way. ⁸ And then will the Lawless One be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will consume with the breath of his mouth, and will destroy with the manifestation of his coming; ⁹ [him,] whose coming is after the working of Satan, in all power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰ and in all deceit of unrighteousness for those who perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this cause God sends them a working of delusion, in order that they may believe the lie; ¹² that they may all be judged, who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

¹ NOW the Spirit says expressly, that in after-times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and teachings of demons; ² of those who speak lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron; ³ forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from food, which God created to be received with thanksgiving, for those who believe and know the truth.

¹ BUT know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. ² For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ³ without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, without love to the good, ⁴ betrayers, headlong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; ⁵ having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; and from these turn away. ⁶ For of these are they who creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

²⁹ Of how much worse punishment, suppose ye, will he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has accounted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite to the Spirit of grace?

³ And I will give [power] to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.

¹¹ And after three days and a half, the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon those who beheld them.

⁶ And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they may nourish her there a thousand two hundred and sixty days.

¹ AND I stood upon the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads names of blasphemy; ² (and the beast which I saw was like to a leopard, and his feet as of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion, and the dragon gave to him his power, and his throne, and great authority;) ³ and one of his heads as it were wounded unto death. And his deadly wound was healed; and all the world wondered after the beast. ⁴ And they worshiped the dragon, because he gave the authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying: Who is like to the beast, and who is able to make war with him? ⁵ And there was given to him a mouth speaking great and blasphemous things; and power was given him to work forty-two months. ⁶ And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, those who tabernacle in heaven. ⁷ And it was given him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and power was given him over every tribe, and tongue, and nation. ⁸ And all who dwell upon the earth will worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb which is slain, from the foundation of the world. ⁹ If any one has an ear, let him hear. ¹⁰ If any one is for captivity, he goes into captivity; if any to be killed with the sword, he must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. ¹¹ And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon. ¹² And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. ¹³ And he does great signs, so that also he causes fire to come down out of heaven on the earth, in the sight of men; ¹⁴ and he leads astray those who dwell on the earth, because of the signs which it was given him to do in the presence of the beast; saying to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which has the wound of the sword, and lived. ¹⁵ And it was given him to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should also speak, and should cause that as many as worship not the image of the beast should be killed. ¹⁶ And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, to receive a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead; ¹⁷ and that no one should be able to buy or sell, save he that has the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name. ¹⁸ Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count up the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred and sixty-six.

² And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

¹⁹ and if any one shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written of in this book.
