¹³ And I heard a voice out of heaven saying: Write, Happy are the dead who die in the Lord, henceforth; yea, says the Spirit, that they shall rest from their labors, for their works follow with them.

¹⁷ And lo, a voice out of heaven, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

³⁵ For I was hungry, and ye gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger and ye took me in, ³⁶ naked and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me. ³⁷ Then will the righteous answer him, saying: Lord, when saw we thee hungering and fed thee, or thirsting and gave thee drink? ³⁸ And when saw we thee a stranger and took thee in, or naked and clothed thee? ³⁹ And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came to thee? ⁴⁰ And the King will answer and say to them: Verily I say to you, inasmuch as ye did it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye did it to me.

⁹ And I say to you: Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when it fails, they may receive you into the everlasting habitations.

²⁵ But Abraham said: Child, remember that in thy lifetime thou receivedst thy good things in full, and Lazarus in like manner his evil things; but now here, he is comforted and thou art tormented.

⁸ For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord; whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

¹⁸ Then also they who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

⁸ we are confident, and are well pleased rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.

⁷ Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. ⁸ Because he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

²¹ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. ²² But if it be to live in the flesh, this to me is fruit of labor; and which I shall choose I know not; ²³ but am constrained by the two, having the desire to depart, and to be with Christ, for it is far better;

¹⁷ But even if I am poured out on the sacrifice and ministration of your faith, I rejoice, and I rejoice with you all.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those who fell asleep through Jesus will God bring with him.

¹⁶ Because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ will first rise.

¹⁰ who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

⁶ since it is a righteous thing with God to recompense affliction to those who afflict you, ⁷ and to you who are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power,

⁷ I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; ⁸ henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me in that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing. ⁹ So then, there remains a Sabbath-rest to the people of God. ¹⁰ For he that entered into his rest, himself rested from his works, as God did from his own. ¹¹ Let us therefore endeavor to enter into that rest, that no one may fall into the same example of unbelief.

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work, and the love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered and still do minister to the saints. ¹¹ But we desire that each one of you show the same diligence, for the full assurance of the hope unto the end;

¹¹ saying: What thou seest, write in a book, and send to the seven churches; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamus, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

¹ TO the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These things says he who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lamp-stands.

¹¹ And a white robe was given to each one of them; and it was said to them, that they should rest yet a little time, until also their fellow-servants and their brethren, who are about to be killed as they were, should be fully numbered.

¹⁴ And I said to him: Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me: These are they who come out of the great affliction, and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore are they before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun fall upon them, nor any heat; ¹⁷ because the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and will lead them to the fountains of the waters of life; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

⁴ And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; and I heard a voice out of heaven saying to me: Seal up the things which the seven thunders spoke, and write them not.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed loud voices in heaven, saying: The kingdom of the world is become our Lord's, and his Christ's; and he will reign forever and ever.

¹⁹ And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of his covenant was seen in his temple; and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and a great hail.

¹⁷ And the seventh poured out his cup upon the air; and there came forth a loud voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying: It is done.

⁹ And he says to me: Write, Happy are they who are called to the marriage-supper of the Lamb. And he says to me: These are the true sayings of God.

⁶ Happy and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection; on these the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

⁵ And he who sat upon the throne said: Behold, I make all things new. And he says: Write; because these words are faithful and true.
