¹⁰ A man that causes divisions, after a first and second admonition, avoid;

¹⁵ But if thy brother shall sin against thee, go show him his fault between thee and him alone, If he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. ¹⁶ But if he hear not, take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. ¹⁷ And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it to the church; and if he neglect to hear the church also, let him be to thee as a heathen and a publican.

¹⁷ Now I beseech you, brethren, to mark those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the teaching which ye learned, and avoid them.

⁴ in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, ye being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁵ to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. ⁶ Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? ⁷ Cleanse out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, according as ye are unleavened. For our passover, Christ, was sacrificed for us; ⁸ therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. ⁹ I wrote to you, in my letter, not to keep company with fornicators; ¹⁰ yet not, altogether, with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters; for then ye must needs go out of the world. ¹¹ But as it is, I wrote to you not to keep company, if any one called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner, with such a one not even to eat. ¹² For what have I to do with judging those also who are without? Do not ye judge those who are within? ¹³ But those who are without God judges. Therefore put away that wicked man from among yourselves.

¹⁹ For there must be also sects among you, that they who are approved may be made manifest among you.

² I have before said, and now say beforehand, as when present the second time, so also now when absent, to those who heretofore have sinned, and to all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare;

¹² I would that they were even cut off who unsettle you.

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, emulation, wraths, contentions, divisions, factions,

⁶ Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother walking disorderly, and not after the tradition which they received from us.

¹⁴ And if any one obeys not our word by this letter, mark that man, and keep not company with him, that he may be shamed.

⁵ having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; and from these turn away.

¹ BUT there were false prophets also among the people, as there will be false teachers among you also, who stealthily will bring in destructive factions, even denying as Master him who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

¹⁰ If any one comes to you, and brings not this teaching, receive him not into your house, and do not bid him good speed;
