¹⁶ I beseech you therefore, become followers of me.

⁴ And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them. And the sheep follow him because they know his voice. ⁵ And they will, no, not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, because they do not recognize the voice of strangers.

¹ Become ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

¹⁷ Brothers, become fellow-imitators of me, and watch those who so walk, just as ye have us for an example.

⁹ And what ye learned and received and heard and saw in me, these things do, and the God of peace will be with you.

⁶ And ye became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

⁹ Not because we have no right, but that we might give ourselves an example to you, in order to imitate us.

⁷ Remember those who lead you, men who spoke the word of God to you, of whom, carefully observing the outcome of their conduct, imitate the faith-

³ nor as domineering over the lots, but becoming examples of the flock.
