⁶ And Saul said to the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them, for ye showed kindness to all the sons of Israel when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

²⁵ That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay a righteous man with a wicked man, that so the righteous man should be as the wicked man. Far be it from thee. Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

¹² And the men said to Lot, Have thou here any besides? Son-in-law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whomever thou have in the city, bring them out of the place. ¹³ For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them has been great before LORD. And LORD has sent us to destroy it. ¹⁴ And Lot went out, and spoke to his sons-in-law, who married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place, for LORD will destroy the city. But he seemed to his sons-in-law as a man jesting. ¹⁵ And when the morning arose, then the agents hurried Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters who are here, lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. ¹⁶ But he lingered. And the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters, LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him forth, and set him outside the city.

⁹ And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which LORD had done to Israel, in that he had delivered them out of the hand of the Egyptians. ¹⁰ And Jethro said, Blessed be LORD, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.

¹⁹ Hearken now to my voice. I will give thee counsel, and God be with thee. Be thou for the people toward God, and bring thou the cases to God.

²⁹ And Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, We are journeying to the place of which LORD said, I will give it to you. Come thou with us, and we will do thee good, for LORD has spoken good concerning Israel. ³⁰ And he said to him, I will not go, but I will depart to my own land, and to my kindred. ³¹ And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee, inasmuch as thou know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou shall be to us instead of eyes. ³² And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that whatever good LORD shall do to us, the same we will do to thee.

²⁶ And he spoke to the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins. ²⁷ So they got up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side. And Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood at the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little ones.

³⁴ And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them, for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up.

²¹ And he looked on the Kenite, and took up his oracle, and said, Strong is thy dwelling-place, and thy nest is set in the rock. ²² Nevertheless Kain shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.

¹⁶ And the sons of the Kenite, Moses' brother-in-law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the sons of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which is in the south of Arad, and they went and dwelt with the people.

¹¹ Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the sons of Hobab the brother-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.

²⁴ Blessed above women shall Jael be, the wife of Heber the Kenite. Blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

¹⁰ And Achish said, Against whom have ye made a raid today? And David said, Against the South of Judah, and against the South of the Jerahmeelites, and against the South of the Kenites.

⁵⁵ And the families of scribes who dwelt at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. These are the Kenites who came of Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.

⁶ Forsake ye simpleness, and live, and walk in the way of understanding.

⁴⁰ And with many more other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, Be saved from this crooked generation.

¹⁷ Therefore, Come ye out from among them, and be ye separated, says the Lord, And touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you

¹⁶ May the Lord grant mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chain.

¹⁴ And the fruit of the lust of thy soul have departed from thee. And all the fat and bright things are destroyed from thee. And thou will, no, not find them any more.
