LORD will swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. ¹⁰ Thou will destroy their fruit from the earth, and their seed from among the sons of men. ¹¹ For they intended evil against thee. They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.

¹ Thus says LORD, Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What manner of house will ye build to me, and what place shall be my rest?

⁴⁹ The heaven is to me a throne, and the earth a footstool of my feet. What house will ye build for me? says the Lord. Or what is the place of my rest?
