⁵ But if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my sons, I will not go out free,

¹⁶ And it shall be, if he says to thee, I will not go out from thee, because he loves thee and thy house, because he is well with thee, ¹⁷ then thou shall take an awl, and thrust it through his ear to the door, and he shall be thy servant forever. And also to thy maid-servant thou shall do likewise.

¹³ O LORD our God, other lords besides thee have had dominion over us, but by thee only we will make mention of thy name.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ holds us together, having judge this, that if one died for all, then all died. ¹⁵ And he died for all so that those who live would no longer live to themselves, but to him who died for them, and was raised.
